The property is huge and clean with a very nice bar in the basement area and a modern rooftop. The rooms are a bit small but well designed to put your luggages under the bed, perfect for few nights in Kyoto!

Loved the communal areas especially the chill out basement and terrace area with the jazz performance on Saturday afternoon. The room design was great. We had a double/single bunk room for 2 people which was very generous with space for luggage. Excellent restaurants and shopping within easy walking distance.

The shower and toilet are on another floor, which means you need to take the room key with you when you need to go, and also to walk through the reception with your pajamas…

I stayed in a dormitory room with 9 other girls, and it was very quiet.. There is a curtain for each bed, amd it’s very isolated from the rest of the room. Location is super!

The rooms were small for two people with big suitcases (we knew this beforehand, though). It would’ve been nice with more hooks in the bathroom for towels (there was only one), and cozy warm lighting for evenings.

Clean, comfortable rooms. The best part of Kyoto to stay in - on a quiet street, near many shops and cafes. Loved the lounge areas and big rooftop!

Location was central to most of the tourist spots. Lockers to keep the luggage post check-out was fab. They had all the information required for the traveller easily available in the lobby e.g. spots to watch cherry blossom during season, Breakfast places etc

Rooms or hallways had no ventilation. We wanted to air our shoes and it seemed a bit stuffy

It‘s not the cheapest but worth it.

By far the best Hostel we‘ve ever been to. The location is great, you‘re within walking distance of everything. They have huge common areas, a rooftop, a bar, and a big kitchen which are all very well maintained. The rooms are nice and big enough and they have lots of showers and toilets so you‘ll never need to wait in line.

Excellent location, located near a subway station. The staff members could easily speak english and were exceptionally helpful. Rooms were really clean and bathrooms too. Some days it has live music which the band is AMAZING!!

A little small for us as well had large bags, but wasn’t a huge problem.

A beautiful hostel and incredible location. Just two minutes walk from the Nishiki Food market which is a must see in Kyoto. Also very close to all the bars, clubs, and some great restaurants. The staff was so friendly, and the hostel itself was very modern, equipped with a gorgeous bar area where they play what live jazz on the weekends! The rooms were also very clean, simple, but do exactly what you need them to. TV has Netflix, YouTube, Prime etc. The shared toilet/washroom facilities were also very clean and spacious. One of the best hostels we’ve stayed in!

If you want a room to yourself it can get a bit expensive, although the pods are very affordable.

Genuinely the best hostel I've ever been to, the decor is beautiful and the staff (especially at reception) were amazing, recommending me young underground venues and bars that are far away from the tourist trail. I'm even a big fan of the music they play around the buildings (modern jazz crossover).

Rooms were quite small and walls thin. We could hear multiple snoring neighbors coming from both sides of the walls and possibly the room above.

This was a great base for our 4 night stay. In a lovely area of Kyoto with great restaurants and shops. Also really close to the market and main shopping street. You can easily walk into the old part of Kyoto. Really clean and great facilities at the hotel. Lovely bar area and we made use of the washing facilities.

There wasn’t good natural light in the room

The shower and toilet facilities were excellent and the beds very comfortable, the location was right beside Nikishi Market and Teramachi with lots of shopping and good restaurants around

My friend used the washer and dryer, and reflected that it took longer than expected to dry clothes.

Everything was great about the place. Location, cleanliness, staff, and location. Many local shops and cafes within short walking distance. The layout of the room is very spacious as well even for two people.
