Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaWe had three rooms, and none of them had thermostats. Two of the rooms were very hot and windows would not open. One room we could cool by opening the window (although a sign said do not open the window).
Location is great and staff were very friendly and helpful.

SingaporeI didn't use the handsfree travel with Rose Hotel as it didn't give me confidence that it would reach on time to the next hotel. So I had to walk to the nearby Yamato transport to forward my luggage.
Location is good. Hotel room was clean. Service was good.

SingaporeFacilities and amenities are poorer than other hotels we’ve been too but similar to most 3-star hotels we’ve been to in other countries. It didn’t affect our stay much but we’d really have loved some pyjamas! They do have a summer swimming pool which is very unique but unfortunately we stayed in winter and didn’t get to use it.
Very convenient to visit Chinatown, it is literally on the hotel’s doorstep. Also walking distance to many other places of interest and a short ride away to the shopping centre of Yokohama. Even Tokyo wasn’t that far away so it makes a good base that is better priced than many Tokyo hotels. The twin beds were spacious enough to fit two adults and two upper elementary school kids. It’s an old dame with lots of character and charm, my daughter likes it the most out of all the hotels we’ve stayed in despite its weaknesses. In the night we arrived, we received the warmest service from Nakako-san (not sure if I got her name right) and her colleague. That made us, a family looking very frazzled after a long Shinkansen ride from Hokkaido feel valued and welcomed, amongst their many businessmen type guests we see at the lobby each day. Thank you Rose Hotel Yokohama!

JapanThe air conditioner was a little weak, so you can’t make it cooler even in the summer.
The staff actively interacted with us when we asked about the decoration service for our anniversary, with many choices and options such as what kind of design, colors, and the location of the decorations we wanted. It’s very close to Chinatown and the station.

United States of AmericaThe hotel can use some interior decor updating, which as they are currently, I would describe / characterize as “retro”. The exterior facade from the street looks decent and quite modern but the interior decor of rooms and corridors do not seem to match the exterior. The bedside console controls looked as though they were still from the 1980’s albeit still functional.
Easy access to public transportation - we arrived by train from the airport. The hotel was just about 2 small blocks walking distance to the nearest train station. It was near to a lot of attractions: a seafront park, shopping malls and restaurants. The staff cleaned our room everyday without being asked.

2 full size bed and one extra cot allowed my family to stay comfortably. Good size room for Japan. Free pool but towel and pool lounger cost extra. Entry staff always welcome and happy to help get taxi etc. Staff speak enough English. My luggage was checked in a day early and there was no charge. Shower pressure great plus soft water. Room was cold for summer which was great.
