눉-Futon not as cushy as at other places so resulted in a hard night's sleep. -I'm a pescatarian and there was a lot of meat at dinner so felt like I wasted a lot of the food. Breakfast included fish, which I do eat, so that was fine and very good.
눇-The gentleman who checked us in and helped with our meals was very helpful and efficient. He didn't speak very much English but we were able to communicate just fine. -The onsen was nice and hot and felt great on travel-weary muscles! -Make sure you get off of the correct side of the cable car. (To your left when facing up hill). We got off on the wrong side and had to wait for the next cable car in order to cross (by going through the cable car) to the other side. Oddly enough, there is no way to get across the tracks (even for cars!) except to go through the cable car when it is at the station.

눉First about the property itself. This is more of a hostel than anything else and it's kinda old and run down. It does have an onsen but it's hardly worth bothering with, don't waste your time and go to any good public bath instead, like Yunessun which i highly recommend. The wifi simply doesn't work, not even in the lobby. The breakfast is Japanese only (rice, miso soup and pickes) so don't expect coffee. Btw, you will be woken up to come for breakfast if you opted for it, no skipping it and sleeping in for you :) Now about Gora. There is literally nothing to do there, the town is dead by 6pm. There really is no point in staying there, unless you're doing it at a nice ryokan where you don't have to leave for anything. If you're sightseeing, stay in Hakone-Yumoto and just do the standard day trip circle like everybody else, you'll be much happier. The tram stops around 5:30pm so if you decide to take the train into a nearby town for dinner you'll be walking back up the hill for about 15 min through pitch dark alleys at times - an interesting experience but not something I'd wanna do more than once. Unfortunately this property is just not a place you'd really wanna spend your time at (certainly not a spa).
눇The hostess was very nice even though she didn't speak any English. They have a massage chair in the lobby which you can use for free.
