I loved everything.

The room was clean, daily room service was automatically done, the water was always hot, the suite we had was quiet. Staff was friendly and this suite was convenient as we could walk down and use the Yamanote line for our travel or other common lines to explore Tokyo. Staff was very friendly, helped us do the luggage forwarding to Osaka, wrote us a welcome note with sweets to celebrate our honeymoon when we first arrived, and bed was firm but still comfortable with the softest blanket! If you’re looking to sleep in luxury, this is the place to be. We also tried the hotel buffet breakfast and it was very good! This was an amazing place to stay for our first trip to Japan, money was well worth it!

It is a very expensive hotel - but, given the luxury and location, this is to be expected. It is a wonderful place!

The rooms was gorgeous and incredibly comfortable. The location couldn't be better , both for catching a train and for walking around Tokyo. There are excellent restaurants in the hotel - but book ahead. The bar is lovely and the breakfast buffet is spectacular!

Breakfast was wonderful on the top floor, not included in the room rate. Rolled omelette made to order and continental, traditional Japanese, European breakfast buffets available. Staff was exceptional and helped with any need. Helped us with dinner reservations, called us a taxi to the airport and helped us with our bags to our room and car. Nothing but good things to say.

The access to restaurants and quality of some restaurants. Charging 6,100 yen for breakfast and then running out of some items 90 minutes before breakfast ends is unacceptable. The Chinese restaurant was of extremely variable food quality. Some restaurants not open some nights during peak season.

This is a huge sprawling hotel, so expect to walk between areas. For us this wasn’t a negative, as it’s part of the hotel’s unique, historic character as an imposing station. We used the concierge to transport our luggage between the room and lobby.

The superior twin was an excellent size, with a dressing room and seating area. We really enjoyed the unique experience of having a dome side room with a view into Tokyo station. Staff were extremely helpful and we very much enjoyed having tea in the lounge, a drink in the bar followed by dinner at one of the hotel’s many restaurants. Comfortable beds, very generous breakfast and good value for money for the location and luxury on offer - we’ll definitely stay here again.

We ended up spending our final night in Tokyo at this hotel because the train station to take the Narita Express was a stone's throw away. It was a great decision because the hotel itself is gorgeous, the amenities were extensive, and the staff were courteous throughout. The room itself is beautifully appointed. We stayed in the City View Superior King Room where we got to enjoy tall ceilings, lovely private bath (bring bath bombs and bubbles), and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent, with a great array of Western and Japanese dishes to enjoy. Overall, would definitely come back and stay longer.
