Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

Size of the room. Initially I was given a small room then on my request they changed my room to 8th floor which is spacious and has nice view. I like it most about The Boma - The rooms are very big and nice decorated. Also has good washroom with bath tub having jacuzi function - perfect for message bath after hectic day.

IndonesiaCable for internet did not work, just wifi. Mhy partner did not arrive due to a cancelled flight, and the price of the double occupation of the room "could not" be changed to a single room occupation, with the justification that I booked via booking.com. It was als pretty difficult to at least get finally the breakfast bag for my partner. The hotel answer my question about the oppening hours of the pool (8-6pm) after a few days. Thus, I could not cancel the stay anymore in time, due to the short opening hours of the pool, because this was originally a main reason for choosing this (rather overpriced) hotel.
Room was large, breakfast buffet was sufficient (while at the omelets for some while nobody was there to prepare them). wifi connection was also sufficient.

EstoniaThe Boma was a pleasant suprise. Not exactly a 5 star hotel, more like 4 stars but still with a style. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable with fresh bedlinen. Bathroom was a bit outdated but ok, had both a shower and a bath. The pool area was nice. The staff was welcoming and the wifi was good. Really enjoyed the breakfast - very tasty and a wide choice of dishes. The whole hotel is a bit vintage which adds charm. We enjoyed our meal at the hotel's restaurant with good service and delicious food. For us the location was perfect jus a few miles from Nairobi Wilson airport.

KenyaI did not like the housekeeping services , they cleaned our room but they left some leftovers from the previous night in the room then we didn’t have indoor sandals to use in the bathroom at least also no shower caps for the ladies .
We loved the breakfast and the service staff were very kind especially one Mr. Geoffrey . The ambience was amazing and very refreshing not forgetting the meal was well prepared kudos to the chef.

United StatesThe shower felt cramped being behind the door. Also would like to have a standard shower head. Also the shower leaked a lot on the floor.
This is a high quality hotel that is well maintained and very comfortable. You have every amenity. The staff are well trained and very friendly. The layout of the hotel is spacious. The rooms are very comfortable and well put together. The pool area though not large is very nice as well. The cafe lounge area was nice for meeting guests.

I was catching the late evening BA flight back to Heathrow. They wanted to charge me $75 so I moved out of my room and spent the time in the hotel lounges. Shame but there we are!!

United KingdomThe reception was not helpful and the worse is they aren’t accepting that they can make errors . I asked for a late check out and I understood it was complimentary and this for having as a customer in the near future. After speaking to her colleague today. I was told I will be charge 50% rate for checking out at 6pm and cannot admit any wrongdoing at their end. I thought treating clients is key, especially when there is no downside as the hotel is empty but this is definitely not how it feels in this hotel from a few members of the staff.
Great facilities, not much things around so need to use a cab for going anywhere.
