Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CambodiaThis place has limited parking space for motorcycles. The staff will provide valet parking services for motorcycles. They will take your motorcycle at 10 PM and park it inside for you. In the morning, the staff will take your bike to our side. Please keep the key with you and hand it over to the recipient. If you plan to book this place, please note that it's unsuitable for cars or motorcycles due to limited parking space.
I am staying in a wonderful eco-friendly place that allows me to refill my water bottle, which is a great feature that I appreciate. However, I do need to remove my shoes before entering my room, which is understandable and actually adds to the cleanliness of the place. One of the things I love about this place is that it has a lovely outdoor area with a TV specifically for kids, which is a great way to keep them entertained and happy. Lastly, there is a cozy coffee spot outside where one can enjoy a wonderful cup of coffee while soaking in the beauty of the surroundings.

Babel Guesthouse is so beautiful - it was such a lovely space to stay in, from the bar/cafe, to the rooms, to the pool area. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. I highly recommend this stay.

GermanyThe Norwegian owners have created a beautiful little gem in a quite side street close to the Centre of Siem Reap. All the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves delicious (also vegetarian and vegan) food. I loved my room, the garden and the relaxing pool area. Sustainability is important here. You can refill water bottles and there is an ECO shop with all sorts of environmental-friendly little things to buy. The hotel offers various tours, the drivers are very nice and competent. 100% recommendation!!!

PolandAll guests have to leave shoes before entering hostel and walk barefoot on shared corridors, I don't think it's very hygenic.
Hostel restaurant is excellent, all meals I had there were delicious. Best curry I had! Very nice staff Comfy bed

United KingdomThe lock on bathroom door was broken which meant the door did not close but easily fixable.
Amazing host and staff helped us organise activities around Siem Reap, the food and drinks were great and we especially appreciated the water cooler where we could top up our water without having to buy more plastic bottles. They are really focused on sustainability which is amazing. The accommodation was good for the price, we did not have time to try the swimming pool because we were too busy exploring temples and Siem Reap. The tuk tuk driver and the guide the guesthouse organised for us were great and we had an amazing time exploring temples and learning about the history.

United KingdomLeaving!
The ambience, the room, the food (exceptional), how friendly and helpful the staff are. The pool is a highlight too. I loved the refill and eco shop and bought quite a few handy things. A guest house with a soul. They can organise anything you need temples, circus, transport onwards.

United States of AmericaWe had a great stay at the Babel Guesthouse in February during our visit to Siem Reap. The facilities are good, and the pool was very nice. The room was spacious and clean, although the shower head holder did not work and there were a good amount of bugs in the bathroom. The hotel was centrally located and close to Angkor Wat, which made it easy to visit. We also saw a bunch of families staying here as well, and the food at the restaurant was very good. We did have a traveler's bug while here but it was a great place to stay to recover.

SpainTry and avoid a room on the top floor in the hot season, it’s really hot up there. The a/c didn’t really work, the staff did what they could and improved it a little and gave us a fan which really helped. They couldn’t do much more for us but they said they were going to replace the a/c as soon as we left.
Very good vegan food, attentive staff, on hand English speaking manager. Free water refills and shop with natural products

AustriaThe water refill station was often empty and when we asked to refill it we had to help the receptionist with carrying the water, while there were more than enough employees that could help which was weird but ok. Also the receptionists were often a bit clueless when asking normal questions ( like pool times or how to let us pay the bill) and their english wasn’t always the best. We also did not like that you have to go around the hotel without shoes but still the floor in the corridor is very dirty, it was a bit disgusting. Also the mattress in the room was hard.
Clean and spacious rooms, nice breakfast, nice pool, free water refill (when available), nice temple tours for competitive prices and amazing tuktuk drivers (we strongly recommend Mr Map!)

IrelandThe food is wonderful here but at times we waited a very long for it to come. On one occasion, we waited over an hour and a half for a portion of chips to come. We assume that the food is cooked fresh which may be the reason behind the delay but, nevertheless, it was frustrating at times.
The hotel is really beautiful and really does feel like an oasis in the middle of Siem Reap. As soon as we set foot in Babel, we felt relaxed. Our room was basic but lovely and very clean. The staff are very friendly and the pool area is really nice. The food in the hotel is delicious and we ate there at least once a day, even though we are usually the type of venture out. Overall, we would 100% recommend Babel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

FinlandTwo negatives: 1. Food which, apart from the breakfast, didn't meet our expectations especially considering that prices were clearly higher. It was not bad but just not very tasty. 2. The boat trip to floating village + dinner: Trip was otherwise ok but the dinner at the boat was really poor level and not what we expected based on the book at the hotel. Trip is not organized by the hotel but advertised by the hotel and organized via them.
Lovely place to relax away from the heat and noise of the city. Loved the interior with all the greenery, cozy decor and nice details. Great pool area! Water fill-in for free. Easy to walk around the city. Supermarkets, ATMs and restaurants nearby. Plenty of information available on different activities in Siem Reap and easy to organize trips (e.g. to Angkor). Room was comfortable, clean and pretty. Nice breakfast selection with smoothie bowls and banana pancakes. Everything worked well. Would definitely return here!
