Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomBed was a bit too hard for me. Breakfast very basic.
Lovely pool area, location was great out of the main area but only 5/10minute walk to it. Staff were all really lovely and helpful. Our room was a really good size.

SingaporeIt takes a while for the aircon to cool the room down (especially after a long hot day), but it does eventually cool down in the night, so it's still OK!
Lili from the front desk went out of her way to help us with our return bus to Siem Reap by calling the bus operator, translating the call for us, and arranging for pick up on the day itself. Exceptional service from her and fellow colleagues! They also accommodated a room change for us to a lower floor in the main building because we were initially assigned a 3rd floor room with steep stairs only in a building further away from the main building, which were difficult for my elderly parents. Breakfast was simple but yummy too! Location is across the river from Old Market and Pub Street, about 10mins walk.

United KingdomOn our first night they double-booked our room and so we got put in a dark side-room, which wasn't up to the specifications that we had paid for. They were very apologetic, and I understand these things happen - but perhaps they could have offered us something to compensate (a drink at the bar, dinner etc). In the end we did get a free dinner to make up for it, but we did have to push for it.
Overall it's a lovely place, good value for money. Staff were very friendly, and the food and drink and pool were great for unwinding.

FranceThe ceiling was leaking water during the rainstorms through an old humidity hole in a corner of the room. And we didnt have much of a view from our window, which doesn't really matter when you only come back at night. Everything else was fine :)
The staff is amazingly kind and so helpful, the beds are comfortable, the air conditioning works well, the breakfast is a great plus to start the day (even take away breakfast when you want to go see the sunrise at the temples), the pool and restaurant area are so beautiful and a great place to relax, the neighborhood is the best, steps away from great restaurants/cafés/night markets... We had an amazing stay here and do recommend it very much. Thank you Wat Damnak Residence!

BrazilSometimes we run out of water, we can't say if this is a problem with the hotel or the city. TV was not available and the internet is weak, these points need to be improved.
The great thing about this hotel is the service provided by the staff, everyone is extremely friendly and willing to help. The Hotel is in a very quiet part of the center which guarantees a great and relaxing night's sleep. The breakfast was excellent and varied.

GermanyThe location is very good, just a few minutes walk from the biggest pagoda of the city, the Siem Reap riverside and the night markets. There are a lot of restaurants nearby with different culinary options. The pool has saltwater, and has a consistent depth, which allows even those who can't swim to enjoy time in water.

Czech RepublicWe have spent the first night in a much smaller room than we have booked, without balcony or much day light. The management, even through present at the site on the same day, didn't give us any explanation nor did not give any apology for the inconvenience. The room we booked did not have a TV nor a second table, as per Booking.com photos of the room. For the first few days of our stay, the wifi in the room was very bad, often not available at all. However, later it started to work and was pretty decent for the rest of our stay.
We have really enjoyed our stay at Wat Damnak Residence. It had a great location, close to the center as well as many tasty restaurants. Great value for the price. The breakfast was very nice, they make your eggs right in front of you and the options changed a bit every day, so it didn't get mundane. What was really exceptional is the staff, particularly the ladies. We especially want to personally thank to So Phan at the reception and Mey at the bar, for their excellent service and friendliness. We also want to thank to Lyly and Sreynith. They all were very approachable, always in a good mood, happy to help us with anything we might need. They all made a difference to our stay.
