Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaMen's dorm bathroom strong odour of fish sauce. Use the toilet downstairs
Clean and quirky being a cat cafe hostel. But as a guest you have to buy a beverage to be in the cafe and not welcomed if you sit in the cafe before 8am.

ItalyNothing!
The guesthouse is located in the perfect spot to use it as a base point to visit Hahoe village as it is at walkable distance from the train station and the bus terminal. The ground floor is a nice cat café full with books. It is really cozy and welcoming. Here they serve the included breakfast which features a lot of options. The room was very spacious, comfortable, and equipped with literally everything you might need including all toiletries. They let you use the laundry free of charge.

ItalyThough is not far from the bus and train station (less than 10min walking), it's not near anything else in Andong. Luckily there are enough buses driving to and from the center. It's quite isolated, a little unpleasant to walk in the evening in the dark (luckily Korea is very safe!).
It's a hostel, but it's a little more than only that! The atmosphere is very pleasant (the library on the ground floor make it very cozy). I loved the design and the character of the furniture and the arrangments. The rooms are very clean and even the 8 persons room is spacy and provided with everything needed. The 8-persons room has a separated big toilet (with japanese style seat!) and a big shower. The breakfast is a little modest, but just enough.

GermanyIt´s a bit far away from the city center so you must take a bus and walk a bit in a pretty desolated and poorly luminated street, but for us it worked because we needed to be close to the train/bus station, despite no service and restaurants around.
The hostel is a small and cozy reality a bit out of the city center and close to the train/bus station. The room was very big with all the comfort and breakfast was included too. The best part was the lounge which is also a bar and library and hosts 8 cats that live there and make you extra company.

Czech RepublicI was happy with my stay :)
Comfortable clean room, simple but good breakfast and nice staff. They have cute cats roaming/sleeping in the cafe area where they also sell nice stationaries and souvenirs. Location is bit far from the centre but close to Andong train and bus station which was my priority. No problem getting around with public transport to the centre and Hahoe Folk Village.

PolandI’m a little bit allergic to cats, and there are plenty there at reception. That could be an advantage to most of the people though, since cats are very friendly and taken care of.
It was really great stay. We chose Korean style room, and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. I wish we have stayed one more night in Andong to explore the city and cuisine, but in limited time we have focused only on Hahoe Folk Village (which was a highlight in our trip). Breakfast was good, and folks running the hostel friendly.

GermanyFrom the hostel description alone you don't know about the cats. It smelled a lot like cat, because the cat littering box was in the same room as the breakfast, also we saw cats walking on the kitchen counter and licking the glasses. Thats really a no-go in my opinion!
Very cosy and sweet hostel with many many cats. Absolutely great for cat-lovers. Very good value for the small price. The Café also offers drinks in the evening, thats really nice.

SwitzerlandThe accommodation was clean and the room was large. The bed was fine. The cafe was good with fine snacks and nice to relax in after a long day. There were lots of cute cats and baby cats, sad they didn't have any toys. The only downside I found, was that you had to be back before 11pm or you couldn't get in as there was no back door as an alternative. But otherwise a good place to stay for a few days.

SwitzerlandIt smells especially in the first floor really of cats, it was understandable since it is a cat café. But if you don’t like cats, don’t go there. It is located outside of the town quite close to the trainstation and bus terminal but still, it takes around 15min to get there, if you don’t want to take a taxi. There is a bus too but it doesn’t drive frequently.
It was calm and the book and cat café was nice. The rooms were clean and yhe staff was nice.
