눉One thing to note is that Beirut in general is under a LOT of construction, as is Le Gray hotel and Martyr's square. If the noise of construction bothers you a lot, you may not want to stay in downtown Beirut.
눇The service at Le Gray is exceptional. I have stayed at 5-star hotels around the world, and nothing else comes close. The staff even went so far as to book me dinner at the kind of restaurant I might like. The gym and spa are top-notch, the WiFi is high speed, the wine selection is better than 90% of restaurants in Paris, Rome and San Francisco, and the room itself is the size of a 1-bedroom apartment.

눉My wife and I decided to use Le Gray for her Bday as a great reputable Hotel . As soon as we got to the room , i tried to make some coffee but the machine did not work and they had to replace it . In addition , i went outside to the balcony , the tables nor chairs were wiped and a piece of eaten apple was thrown in the little balcony garden , i had to ask the staff to remove it .Furthermore ,one of the staff got carried away and showed bit of anger and tried to explain what went wrong on the cleanliness subject and explained that it wasn't her fault and they would tell her off at the hotel since i reported such matter and she even told me that " i lost my head " at some point as unnecessary offensive comment. Lastly ,i hesitated to call the service again as i found the floor are a bit dusty . The 2nd day i noticed that i forgot a bottle of Jack Daniels in the fridge and i called Le gray who pleasantly said it will be found and they would get back to me however non of that happened as i rang the 2nd morning to check up if found ( not for the value of it only because it was dear to me as a bottle) and the staff said nothing was found . 눉My main criteria of booking this hotel vs other similar properties was the availability of gluten free meals as I am an extremely sensitive celiac. However, on many occasions I was served gluten and had to return my meals. The other issue I faced which was not expected whilst staying at a 5 star property was that my room had not been cleaned during 1 day of my stay. Upon complaining about this issue, no explanation was offered
