We stayed in a 2 single bed bedroom and one of the bed had a missing piece from the bed frame. It was super uncomfortable. (they would probably let us change room because the hotel was kind of empty, but it was already late so we did not ask)

Great location, no need to use transportation, you can just walk around for the main sights. When we were there the pool was just ours. They give you pool towels as well.

Traditional hotel in excellent location- very close walking distance to lake and temple of the tooth. Rooms and hotel slightly dated but we enjoyed using the rooftop bar and having a swimming pool to use after a day of sight-seeing. Staff very helpful and attentive and option for freshly made omelette for breakfast. Would recommend if you’re looking for a well located hotel in the centre of Kandy with a pool

The English of some key staff (receptionist!) was quite poor!! A shame for such a hotel in a very important tourist location! We finally did not get the info needed regarding busses to Sigiriya.

First and foremost the location in downtown Kandy, then the nice swimming pool, open until late in the evening.

The staff were very friendly and polite but weren’t able to help organise trips, a driver, taxis, tuk tuks or a pick up from the airport which was disappointing. The breakfast could have been better and the restaurant wasnt open in the evening (we found very few restaurants open in the evening in Kandy)

The friedliness of the staff is one of a kind, super friendly also to our little baby... gorgeous sri lankan breakfast besides all the european options and of course the location is amazing - everything is in walkeable distance... :)

The building site right up against the pool area has been there for years and spoils the ambience. The rooftop bar is a bit tired and dark, needs opening up so there is more outdoor space. The food is a bit disappointing.

Love the large pool, the location and the good sized, comfortable room. I often stay here when in Kandy. The staff are super helpful too, and there is a great cafe next door at the end of an alley.

Nothing it met our expectations.

This hotel is very close to the Temple and the lake and right in Kandy. All the double rooms were very clean and we had a nice balcony room. The reception staff and breakfast staff were excellent. Very helpful and friendly. The top floor bar was excellent, air conditioned and two balconies. Breakfast was buffet style with some traditional Sri Lankan food.

The restaurant service was very slow, we waited nearly 1 hour for dinner which was not great! Needs more atmosphere, perhaps some nice music and candles on tables.

My boyfriend and me really liked this place! Very kind people who work there, they help you with everything. The swimming pool is very nice for the mid day hours. The place is in the middle of the city, very good location. Also take a walk around the lake, there is so much to see if you like animals.

It’s a tad run down in places, especially the stairs and landings. The pool is accessed via a long corridor on the first floor and then a metal outdoor staircase. Unfortunately next door is currently a building site which doesn’t make a great background for relaxing around the pool. Our bathroom tap was missing the top cover which left some nasty sharp metal exposed. Our bedroom curtains were very stained.

In a good location for walking to Sri Dalada Maligawa. Rooftop bar is good, great views friendly service. There are 2 outdoor seating areas if it’s not too hot. Lift wasn’t working when we stayed but worth the 5 flights of stairs. Staff all very friendly especially the ladies on reception. We ordered a packed lunch for the long train ride to Ella. The cheese and tomato sandwiches were great. Breakfast is ok, bread basket is the best we have ever received. It’s good value for what you pay.

The hotel decor is old fashioned and in need of a makeover. However there is an atmosphere of charm of a bygone era.

Friendly, helpful staff and fantastic location close to the temple and lake. After an enjoyable sight seeing day we enjoyed cooling off in the pool and having a cocktail in the roof top bar.

Some people of the staff were really tip driven & once they realized that we don't want to give tips for certain things, they were not friendly anymore. It's a shame for all other staff who do a good job. Moreover, sometimes it's difficult to communicate with certain members if the staff. Overall, the hotel is a good choice for Kandy.

Location is good in the heart of Kandy. We also received a free upgrade of the room. Clean, spacious rooms & nothing to complain about the accommodation.
