Bathrooms need revamping and shower area could use some scrubbing with bleach. Our sink did not drain properly.

The room was a bit of a disaster, dysfunctional dimly lit & in desperate need of fundamental renovation. TV poorly located no place to watch and barely any English channels to watch ; no surface space to lay anything. Poor lighting. Mosquito net had many gaps. Not mentioned is the rail line at the bottom of the garden which is very loud - could be seen as quaint and adding to the character of the hotel but was v. Loud

We loved everything about Club Villa What a traditional Sri Lanka hotel. The staff were amazing and a special shout out for the gentleman who looked out for us at the poolside, the house keeping staff and restaurant staff were so attentive. We had an issue with payment (our issue not club villa) and it was dealt with in an amazing manner. Making the start of our holiday calm and less worrying. We were picked up at the airport my organised shuttle which went extremely smoothly. (Extra charge). The overall service was fantastic and our stay at club villa will be long in our memories. Just a short walk to the most beautiful beach. The gardens are immaculate and to be able to watch the gardener harvest the coconuts in the garden and then straight away drink the milk was great. Breakfast was amazing and not forgetting the Tea which is a must. Thanks to all for a great stay. Nothing was to much trouble.

The food and restaurant could be more imaginative and a less dated feel would help regain Club Villa's reputation of old.

This remains one of the most loveable hotels in Sri lanka. Bentota is not quite as trendy as it was because of the motoway south - but that means boutique hotels in south Bentota such as this one are often excellent value.

Peaceful atmosphere in a wonderful tropical garden. A long and clean pool that really invites you to spend a lot of time there. Great food, great rooms, great staff! Long, nice beaches. I cannot think of anything that’s missing! Club Villa was our favorite spot in Sri Lanka when we lived there for four years and coming back after eight years this hasn’t changed! We will be back again (and hopefully not only after another eight years 😉)

Again perfect stay. Some rooms could do with an upgrade or restoration however this was not an issue for me, it might be for some.

Bawa designed Villa which comes with beautifully designed gardens. Staff were very attentive and loved the food in particular. Also a cosy atmosphere exists amongst guests to give the place an away from home feel. Highly recommended.

Nothing to dislike but some might mind the train that occasionally passes by. For us it added to the ‘Ceylonese’ charm, and we looked forward to seeing it pass and taking some nice videos for our memories.

How had we not discovered this chic hidden hen in Bentota before! Easily the best stay we’ve had in Sri Lanka and we’ve been around from the hill state ti the south, staying in boutique hotels! Artistically designed cosy rooms with spacious balconies, beautiful gardens and pool area with great service. We loved the warmth of Sanjeeva who looked after our stay, and the welcoming reception manager who obliged our requests in the most efficient manner. It was just serene to be here, relaxing amidst the wafts of frangipani and enjoying the pool with food and drinks served straight to us! The beach was a charming 2 minute walk away across the railway tracks, which itself makes for a great Instagram shot! absolutely loved this hotel!

Old world charm at Club Villa, the gardens and swimming pool are a delight with plenty of shade to pull your sun bed into 🌞we had a mixture of western breakfast and of course the full Sri Lankan breakfast tailored to your spice level and comfort. The stars of the show are the staff, polite, courteous and professional nothing was ever too much trouble. Will hope to be back next time in Bentota.👌👍

A perfect place to unwind and relax, the staff are there to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable, fantastic pool and beach within 300 meters once across the railway line, don’t worry about train noise it’s not exactly the London to Manchester line !! Enjoy 😁

I haven't anything negative to say about this hotel . Just wish we'd planned to stay longer.

Club Villa is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. It ouzes chic and is beautifully maintained. The service was excellent and the staff were extremely accomodating. The grounds and pool are lovely and you have easy access to a long expanse of beach lapped by the Indian Ocean. If you want to relax in beautiful surroundings this is the place to go.

Stairs in rooms could do with a handrail and some better selection of channels on the tv for rainy day viewing.

The rooms were very nice and the garden is a great spot to sit and relax. The staff also went above and beyond with their services to the guests. The short walk to the beach over the train tracks is just beautiful.

The grounds & the public areas are very well kept however the rooms could do with some upgrading.

The location just back from Bentota beach was perfect. Manager very helpful, dealt with a billing issue efficiently. Upgraded to a better room due to a noisy A/C
