Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe glass sliding balcony door came off its runners when I opened it. Fortunately, i managed to stop it falling, whilst my friend called the front desk, who sent maintenance to fix it. I could see there was a lot of corrosion on the framework. I was disappointed that no manager came to apologise about the incident. As this could have been an extremely serious accident. Even upon check out, still no mention of the door from the front desk. Poor management skills!
The hotel sits on a quiet beach front bay, and the food was exceptional. Staff were very friendly, and the cocktails were amazing. The room size was good

United Arab EmiratesReception staff asked me to verify my credit card details for some random bogus charge when everything had already been paid in full. It was very suspect and I didn’t appreciate this.
Rain shower was great. It’s located right on the beach which is lovely. Food was very nice (I had half board). Staff were friendly and excellent in hospitality and ensuring all was well with my stay.

GreeceWe would like the inside of the room. It was nice and comfortable suite but the jacuzzi wasn’t clean. They took care of the jacuzzi and cleanse after our announce. However The staff was really friendly and helpful. We didn’t enjoy a a lot the sea because next to the hotel was a small river that makes a bad smell when it rain.

United KingdomBreakfast is a set menu which was a little disappointing so I’d maybe book without and head into Unawatuna as there are so many options there.
We had a pool room and it didn’t disappoint. The pool was bigger than expected with gorgeous views - worth the extra money. The whole room was nicely finished and really comfortable, with lots of space. Location is good - It’s around 800 LKR to get into Unawatuna (about 5 minutes max) and 1000 LKR to get into Galle (15 minutes max). The staff were so lovely too, really made the trip enjoyable - for $25 you can also get an hour long full body massage in your room, a really nice touch.

HungaryIt wants to look fancier than it is. It really would like to be a 4-star hotel but somehow it is missing sometimes professionalism, sometimes though it is fully professional it was a mixed feeling. It bothered us that sometimes you could feel a sewage smell. The bathtub (jacuzzi) was super old, looked not charming, and didn't use it. Food was super expensive in the hotel, this was the first place on the island where we were faced with all sorts of tax on top of the price written (government tax and service fee together 33%!!!). Since there is a river flowing into the ocean near the hotel the water is not charming green on its beach, again not the hotel's fault.
Every day they cleaned the rooms that were really clean. The soap they provide is a brilliant thing, super expensive if you want to buy it but was really good. You can choose from a variety of pillows, so they make sure you find the most comfortable one for yourself. They also cleaned our plunge pool too, every morning by the time we woke up, so it was charming to get into it. Breakfast was good, but super expensive if you buy it on the spot. We left the hotel just after midnight as our plane left super early, they prepared for us a doggy bag breakfast. (it was funny to eat boiled egg on the airport from a cake box :) )

United KingdomThe property does need some upgrading, but after Covid and the political crisis they have suffered with lack of income. The staff were working on repairs while we were there which looked very positive for the future. We would still recommend and go back
lovely welcome from the staff, we were upgraded room to a pool room which was lovely. The beach was clean and there were lots of sun beds and pool attendant to get towels etc. There were tables out to eat next to the beach with both sun and shade. The bed and shower were both very good. The room is very spacious with a small wardrobe. Fridge, tea and coffee in room with a reasonable priced mini bar. It’s a tuk tuk ride to both Galle and Unawatuna resort, but it’s a peaceful haven to relax and unwind in. (£2-3 each journey) We ate several times in the restaurant and the food was good and reasonably priced for a hotel.
