Food was not labelled our we couldn't watch television our whole stay I informed them but they didn't do anything size of the room was a bit narrow

The pool was good, the kabanas were good , the food was good, toilet was good service was also good very friendly staff

Someone had entered our room while we were gone but the room wasn’t cleaned so that wasn’t great to know. On the second morning we were woken up by someone trying to open our door

No real complaints. Just one small thing that I want to point out - The Breakfast menu said that there are sausages along with eggs and toast. However, at Breakfast next morning there were no sausages. Best to take out 'sausages' if they aren't serving it. Then there would be no expectations of that item at breakfast and would cause no disappointment.

The overall experience was good. The location is great as it is just a 2 minute walk to the main road stretch that houses the Unawatuna Bay. The neat little garden, the attentive staff, etc... It was a goof experience overall.

Sri Lanka is suffering problems with power and fuel supply (amongst other things) and the frequent power cuts were annoying, we were told the hotel had a backup generator but this was out of use due to the fuel shortages. The hotel tried their best and supplied oil lanterns.

Nice comfortable chalet style rooms, with good bathrooms. Two good size pools. Staff very helpful when required. Good to have a kettle in the room with an ample supply of tea and coffee. Sadly, my favourite staff member from previous visits, a Downs Syndrome man we called Duti passed away recently from Covid. He will be missed.

Long haired dogs in reception right next to eating area. The dogs were stinking. I don't know how anyone could have eaten with them around the tables. Worst smell I have encountered in a hotel ever....even from a bathroom with a blocked drain!

It could be a lot cleaner and in parts it was very shabby. We had to move rooms after 2 nights, on night one the underside of the bed snapped and had to be fixed then night 2 the roof leaked. New room was much better. Staff are very nice but very disorganised. You can’t get coffee or wine, only water or beer, there seems to also be some kind of arbitrary timing system for drinks in the evening. Breakfast is a buzzard mix of evening meal foods but the eggs are good although you have to ask for those, you may or may not be offered! There are 2 adorable dogs at the hotel but you need to watch where you walk as no one seems to pick up after them and we never saw them walked.

The first pool is lovely, clean and great temperature. The hotel is right on the edge of the jungle which means lots of fantastic wildlife such as monkeys, beautiful birds, bats and lizards.

There are no single soap in the bathroom .. we need to purchase the soaps from outside .. they are charging 10% service charge more to the actual price!!

The hotel needs more maintenance. The roof is leaking in some parts and water comes in when it rains. There are only russians at the hotel which is not nice during current circumstances. The breakfast needs to be improved.

I have stayed here before and liked it really but a lot has changed. The best part is the young staff working in the restaurant, always friendly.
