Everything. From the place that seems heaven to the rooms. They upgraded us and let us check out in the afternoon without charging anything. The staff is incredible, the food is amazing, the place is perfect! There couldn’t be a better place to go and for sure we will back! We only stayed one night here, but we had such a wonderful stay. This really is a paradise setting. The staff is great, the pool is great and it was the perfect stay for our honeymoon. We really wish we could have stayed longer. The staff went out of their way to give us the best time here.

Super friendly staff, incredible location, yoga classes were a particular highlight. The teacher was incredible! Food on the beach is exceptional, everything about our stay was perfect! Two days was not enough for this paradise, rooms were large, clean and really well equipped!

Everything! The welcome we received was great with everyone smiling and pleasant. The rooms were very spacious and spotlessly clean. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Food was delicious from the breakfast, lunch and dinner. The special last night dinner on the beach was perfect!

As like many other boutique hotels, breakfast was good enough. Cleaning was a bit problem but i dont think that it was related to hotel. Sri lanka has different cleaning standards that I used to but this is a problem in many tropical islands. They never asked directly to give them tips which was also nice compared to other boutique hotels in Sri lanka.

Staff was extremely polite and helpful. They tried their best to make us happy and satisfied. My husband and I got massage for 3 days and it was really good and cheap compared to Dubai and Istanbul and many other european cities aswell. People generally were very polite. They made last dinner very special and gave us complimentary drinks and desserts which I have never seen in any small boutique hotel before. Also they made open buffet for special day of sri lanka and gave us a chance to taste some Sri lankan food. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to get some rest and chill.

Everything was great! We loved the huge room, the kindness of the people, the position among the nature and the possibility of doing well organized excursions. Honestly we don’t understand why some people complain about this place, it’s simply lovely. Food at the restaurant is good and the dinner on the beach is simply amazing!

We really enjoyed staying there. Our highlights: Service People were really simpatic and tried to help us by answering questions or even doing some recommendations. The room service came everyday to clean up the room and the pool. Food The food was really fresh and delicious and the staff was always around making sure that everything was good. Maybe some guests are not flexible enough to preorder the dinner until 4 pm, but for us it was a sign of fresh and sustainable food consumption. That’s what a retreat should be about. If they don’t have your favourite drink, you can ask and they will buy on the next day. On our last evening we got a candle light dinner at the beach. This was one of our highlights. We don’t understand some of the bad comments about prices. It was maybe one Euro more expensive than in the small villages but therefore you have get a fresh, delicious and nice decorated dish! Having the prices in euro helps to have a good overview. Rooms the room was cleaned and smelling good. Having the air conditioning is such a big plus for a hotel like this. At Villa we also had a small fridge, that gave us a lot of flexibility to have our own fruits and food fresh for the whole staying. The beach You have a nice view and comfortable places to sit and relax. They also have a small bar with good cocktails. I consider the waves for swimming to strong ( I do not recommend it for kids ) therefore you have a nice pool. Spa The service and the treatments were really good! I got two Ayurvedic treatments. Also the cabins are super clean.

The property has a nice situation on the beach. Lots of sun beds, parasols and areas for shade on the beach and beside the pool. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming when we were there and always asking if they can do anything to help. The bedroom was large and we had a balcony overlooking the pool and sea. The bed/bedding was comfortable and had a really nice bathroom. We slept well. We were only here for one night as we toured around the country and didn’t have dinner at the restaurant but we saw they were setting up lots of romantic tables on the beach by torchlight which was pretty. Breakfast was enjoyable. It is in a quieter stretch of Tangalle which is nice for a getaway. There was a nice restaurant 100 m away which we had a delicious freshly cooked local meal.

Absolutely amazing hotel in a peaceful remote area. The beach feels like it is private and garden is stunning. The rooms are very nice (we booked a room and a villa and they are both great). Super friendly staff. Highly recommend the hotel !

Suggestions for Elevated Experience -While the lunch options primarily consisted of European cuisine, adding authentic Sri Lankan dishes would enhance the culinary experience. -Some dishes, particularly Indonesian starters, lacked certain ingredients, suggesting a need for improved kitchen oversight. - Increasing the seafood offerings would cater to guests seeking a taste of the local coastal cuisine, enriching the dining experience. - Enriching family offering , maybe offering some sand toys and kids room . - Maybe also creating some instagram moments such as a nice photo corner or a swing with a logo of Good Karma.

Good Karma offers a serene retreat with attentive service, and opportunities for relaxation and exploration. With minor adjustments to the menu and culinary offerings, the hotel could elevate its already exceptional experience to even greater heights. - Despite a booking misunderstanding, the hotel promptly rectified the issue and offered additional amenities. - The large room, coupled with expansive bathrooms, comfortably accommodate families with small children. - The kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool, enhancing the family experience. - The tranquil, nearly deserted beach provided a secluded ambiance, making us feel exclusive. - The hotel efficiently arranged a trip to Yala National Park at a reasonable cost, which we loved! - Even after departing the hotel, the staff assisted in arranging airport transfers. - Relaxing Spa Services: we had some good massages including Ayurvedic massage. -The complimentary yoga classes, led by a knowledgeable instructor, provided guests with a holistic wellness experience. - The on-site cafe, though understaffed, efficiently serving meals. - we were treated to a delightful beachside dinner with complimentary drinks and desserts.

We gave overall score 9 instead of 10 because we felt the restaurant could be better. It was pricey and the food not up to our expectations. We gave feedback to the hotel manager that they should do less dishes (the menu is huge) and do them perfectly and keep prices the same. The breakfast was also average, not enough variety and they were stingy with the portions. A great breakfast would have made our score 10 out of 10.

We liked the facilities of the hotel. It's a lovely property, great landscaping, beautiful place to be. The massage was also great and reasonable price. Lovely pool, at the right temperature (just a bit too deep for kids). There are also lots of animals and birds around the hotel which makes for funny encounters (monkeys, parrots, iguanas, peacocks). The highlight is the hotel staff, they are all lovely, they everything for us. My wife also loved the free yoga every morning - great start of the day. On the last day they also do an amazing beach dining experience for those who are checking out the next morning.

The beach was almost private and connected to the property. The rooms were very spacious and pretty. We enjoyed the yoga sessions in the morning and the candle lit dinner on the beach.

The hotel manager Akila and his staff were extremely friendly and helpful during a stay , he was able to help sort out our preferred room on the upper floor and made our stay even more enjoyable We liked the hotel was very quiet and no disturbances during the night , with just the sound the breaking waves on the beach , The half board package was more than adequate, with a superb breakfast every morning, with Sri Lankan fruits and juices And a comprehensive menu of full western breakfast, with eggs cooked to your preference The evening meal was 3 course’s, of selected options from restaurant menu We very much enjoyed having our final meal on the beach by touch light

We were in the Good Karma Hotel in mid-March. We really liked everything. The rooms are incredibly clean, the restaurant has a large selection of dishes, very tasty cocktails (I recommend trying MAI TAI). The staff is incredibly nice and very helpful. They helped us with absolutely every request we had. Best location on the coast. we checked several other hotels, but this one has the best view. Due to the season, it was problematic to go into the ocean due to the waves, as I am not a confident swimmer. However, the pool with a view of the shore made up for everything. We even saw a group of monkey once right on the beach. I was very afraid to book a hotel on my own for my first vacation to Sri Lanka, but I am very happy that I chose Good Karma.

Treatments available all day on site. Very good food including locally caught fish of the day - sailfish. Final meal on the beach - magical
