Mattress was rather soft and not good for back problems.

Lovely owners especially the sweet lady who would try hard to make your stay an enjoyable one. The homestay is basic but funtional and okay for the quoted price. Lady owner prepared good breakfasts and tasty meals for lunch and dinner. From the upper floor’s dining/common area, one could see a little of the sea (50m away) and definitely hear the soothing sound of lapping waves. Almost right in front of the homestay is a good restaurant right by the shoreline.

The room was nice but the problem was that there was no AC. Otherwise, the journey was amazing, a great family that is always taking care of their guests. Always smiling and joking making our journey even greater ! I advise you to ask for a homemade cook fish ! It was the best one I had in my entire 30 days trip in Sri Lanka !

We had a spider and snails in the bathroom at one night, but I guess that just happens sometimes in those jungle or beach villas.

The owners were absolutely lovely and make you feel like you’re home! They always made us tea and cooked us an amazing dinner one night! Breakfast was really nice aswell! I had problems with my SIM card and they organised a tuktuk and drove me to some shops for free! Unfortunately, everything was closed because it was sunday haha but they tried to help us with everything! We also rented a scooter for a good price here!

Located at the begin of the centre of Tangalle. Tangalle has the best beaches around the south coast, not very busy , we prefer this. The guesthouse has a nice family. We did also the laundry directly by the hotel. Breakfast simple and good. Spacious room with AC. There is also a good barber shop close by, nice guy works there!

While the property and the location are both great, the best part about our stay was meeting the owners of Sasagara. The family who own the property are lovely and charming, they helped us plan our days in Tangalle and serve a tasty breakfast and dinner. The space is nice for interacting with other patrons if you like but also very easy to stay private if that is what you're after. The beach is also only a 30 second walk away. One of our best stays in Sri Lanka so far!

One small thing I forgot to mention them: I recommend they put a small broom in the bathroom as, in my room, the shower water drains near the bathroom door. Everything else was perfect there.

This delightful family provide first class service and food in every respect. Very helpful with helping organising transport too. I would love to return to Tangalle and stay there again.

The hosts were an incredibly friendly and helpful family who welcomed us into their home. They cooked us an incredible dinner and made great breakfasts! They also helped us to arrange our excursions and transfers. The rooms were really clean and comfortable with good aircon. The villa is right by the beach and you can hear the waves at night which was lovely. There are also lots of restaurants nearby! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

There weren’t any tea/coffee making facilities that guests could use at the property so on two occasions we asked if we could have tea as the hosts had already given us tea on arrival. They were happy to give us tea but didn’t tell us at the time that we would need to pay for it, and we wrongly assumed it would be complimentary as there wasn’t another way for us to make tea. It wasn’t until we were checking out and paying the bill that we saw the tea was added to our bill. As there wasn’t any way for us to make our own tea, it would have been nice to know at the time that we would need to pay for it and know how much it would cost. Wi-Fi was a bit intermittent and we couldn’t access social media on it.

Basic rooms with hot water and a good fan. Great location right by the beach and close to the bus station, shops and restaurants. Nice undercover outdoor seating area. We were given a welcome tea on arrival. Hosts were friendly.

Everything about this property is perfect :D hosts are such a caring family. Room is clean and it’s so close to the ocean that you can hear waves from your room! The terrace is a nice place to sit. Amazing neighbourhood. Food they prepare is also delicious (also the ginger tea)

A lovely family who runs this guest house is always there to help you. I had 3 lovely breakfast and a lot of smiles with them. This place is near the fishermen area, and during the night, u can hear the sound of waves. It's totally worth it.
