Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaExpensive for a tiny room, but I think that is standard in Luxembourg.
Excellent location by the train station & within walking to main sights. The highlight of my stay were the staff. They went above and beyond to be kind to me when I arrived early, and in suggesting sights & how to get around. The breakfast is also absolutely amazing!! The room is small, but clean and comfortable and quiet.

IrelandRoom was quite small. Pillows were dreadful. No support whatsoever in them. Roadworks outside so if you're planning to stay here make sure you get a room at the back.
Location was great. Breakfast was good. Tea and coffee available all day. Staff were very pleasant and always ready to help.

IrelandThe room had a few small issues, like the shower box was old and tricky to open, the shower drain was loose and the sink drain should have a filter to avoid dropping things in the drain. In our last day we found drops of blood in the sheets, which made us very uncomfortable.
It’s well located, near the train station, bus stops and tram. The receptionist was friendly and helped us with the list of sightseeings. The breakfast was perfect, many different options. We really liked it.

AustraliaThe hotel is a little dated and could do with a facelift (especially bathroom).
The check in proceedure was quick and easy. Information was clearly given and accurate. The room was as described. We were on the 3rd floor and the lift was absolutely the smallest in all of Europe! It took a few runs to get luggage to the room. However, this was not a problem and was quite a treat. Breakfast was basic, but satisfactory to get us going for the day. Location was handy to the train station - 7 mins walk with heavy bags. The tram into the city centre is located at the end of the street (300m) and these trams are totally free to ride.

United States of AmericaThe wifi was unusable. I work remotely and booked a hotel instead of a hostel so I could take a meeting in the evening. The connection was so poor that I was unable to do that without turning on my hotspot on my phone which is very expensive since Luxembourg is not my home country.
The hotel itself was excellent. The staff were friendly and even made sure I had breakfast to go when I had to leave early on my last day. Very cute as well.

NetherlandsGiven the size of the room and the fact that it's an older building with older facilities etc, I felt like the price was a bit high (120 eur per night). However, this could have been because I booked very late and also the location. The only thing that really bothered me was the shower head. Although the bathroom itself was impeccably clean, the shower head was quite old and had a lot of calc build-up. I think it might need replacing soon. Also, something to note, the room is tiny and there was no view (just of the building across) but I honestly was not bothered by this because I only spent a few hours there. But if the view is important to you, consider looking at the other rooms they offer.
I called to book this hotel very last minute and was able to check in early, which was needed for this trip. When I arrived, the staff was very accommodating. There was an issue with the elevator and they brought in someone to fix it immediately. The following day, the lady at the front desk was incredibly sweet in helping me remove lint from my clothes and ensure I was set for my business meeting (She didn't have to do this so, I was very surprised by her eagerness to help). The breakfast was quite good as well (fresh fruit, cereal, warm pastries, confiture, boiled egg, meets etc). The room was very clean. Usually in old buildings like this, I don't expect such cleanliness, but everything was cleaned quite well. The bed was also very comfortable. Moreover, great location just 5 min walk from the gare and lots of access to restaurants and shops on foot.

NetherlandsIt's a little expensive for what it is. The bed in my single room had a wall at the head and foot. I'm relatively tall (1.91 cm) and this made it a bit uncomfortable. I was able to sleep pretty well though, so it wasn't a huge problem for me.
Great location, just a few minutes from the train station. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was nice.

GermanyThe lift was pathetic with no space for even a single person with their luggage. The room was ok but the walk way is a bit narrow and is claustrophobic. The cots were cozy and gave a feeling that we will fall off during sleep but somehow survived.
The staff are so friendly and very humble. The location is just next to main station and in close proximity to major attractions. All public transport accessibility easily.
