The shower on the top floor had a half working door and the room was quite cold. There are no common areas to stay.

The late check-in possibility is very convenient, the possibility to do laundry and the room was quite large.

Although we chose the room with 2 single beds, we got the one with bunk bed.

The location and the quality of the rooms are very good for the price. Also it was very quiet and clean. The check-in is very easy and understandable.

There was a shower door broken and no hairdryer in the bathroom. They should specify that the entrance door to the building needs to be hardly pushed to be opened.

The room was rather cold and heating was not enough considering the temperature outside during this October weekend. The two chairs in the room did not look very clean. But if you just need a bed to sleep then the place was sufficient.

It has steep stairs, & we came with a lot of luggage, so that was difficult for us mature ladies.

Noise of other guests returning throughout night. Carrying luggage to top floor! WiFi has bandwidth issues at peak times. Glad I didn’t have the room off the kitchen.

Good location in Old Town and 5-10 minutes walk from stations. Cheap for Riga. Bedside plugs and lights. (Shared) shower ok.

Old building, not so well maintained, kitchen and bathroom not so clean, and the noise from outside and other rooms are pretty loud.

The location was great, in the middle of the old town. The room was okay, but the blankets are pretty warm. Even though the check-in time is at 3PM, we could come earlier and enter the room if the receptionist allows us.

1) no common area/lounge 2)HEATING! HEATING! HEATING! The room was very cold!! Actually, it was the coldest room we used in the 4 countries we visited during our trip (Finland, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia). External temperature was -7C and room temperature was no more than 16C, since we were sitting wearing our coats and our hands were freezing cold. When we asked the person in charge if there is something broken on the day of our arrival, he told us that this was the warmest room he could offer! The next day, the reception lady came into our room and told us that our room was the best and we should check out other, colder rooms!! Also, she told us that gas is expensive (!!!) and the temperature inside her house is 15C! I really dont care about her house, not to mention that my house temperature is 20C! We were not staying for free at her house, we had already payed for a room we could not feel comfortable in. The hostel is great for other season, eg summer, but I wouldnt recommend it for the winter.

Outdated rooms. There are signs to be silent after 22:00, but the 4 boys in the next room were playing loud music and shouting until 01:30. I tried to contact the owner and was ignored. Self check in because nobody is there ... Ever.
