Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe location is a bit sketchy, but this is something you cannot change and also part of the experiences for travelling in Fes
Rooms are big and clean, and the staffs are kind and helpful! We had a bit of complication for the people who joined with the us, but the Riad didn’t charge us for the extra costs, which is really kind and we appreciated it very much!

A wonderful place to stay! The room was very comfortable, the breakfast was great, and the view from the rooftop is the best around. Staff really went out of their way to make sure I had a good visit, and gave great recommendations for sites around town. I would absolutely go back and recommend for anyone visiting Fes.

The room of the dar, exceptional. Bed and linen, gorgeous. Teracce is superb. The fact that they thought to put a heater in the room for the winter, another big plus. Mohammed extremely helpful, cheers. Some of the few 10's imo.

EstoniaNothing.
The building is located almost in the heart of Medina, everything was really close! The building itself is very authentic, interior is really nice, so colorful and cozy at the same time! Also there were additional radiator inside the room, which made stay very comfortable, because it is still winter, though it is Morocco. We also had an access to the terrace, really recommend to meet the sunrise there! Muhammed was really hostile and friendly, explained us how to navigate through Medina, and how to get lost properly:) We enjoyed our stay a lot!

GreeceWe stayed at the room which is on the top floor because we liked to have great view along with the sun waking us up. The terrace was amazing and it’s really worth it to stay at this particular room. Mohamed is an amazing young kid, knows really good English helped us so much with everything and especially with the map and how to move inside the souks.

As everyone was saying, Mohammed was a great host. He understood my poor English and welcomed me warmly. Everyone will love him. The riad was incredibly beautiful. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was an unforgettable experience.

NetherlandsMohamed is a very kind and helpful host. When we arrived late in the evening, he arranged a transfer from the airport en guided us from the entrance of the medina to the Riad. He told us al the good places to visit and even drew us a map so we could always find our way back. Our room next to the rooftop terrace was beautiful and super clean. I would recommend this place to all of my friends.

New ZealandNothing not to like
The hospitality of Mohammad who works here is outstanding. From meeting your taxi and helping you navigate the Medina to ensuring you have everything you need for a comfortable stay he is there to help and makes you feel like family. The Dar itself is gorgeous and has been beautifully restored with elaborate detailing. We stayed in the Royal Suite so had two rooms on the second floor. Perfect for families as our kids were close enough to feel safe but we also had a bit of distance to keep sane. My husband was unfortunately sick for most of our stay.but if u are going to get sick, this is the place to do it. The bed was super comfy, the room had lots of space for spreading out and had gorgeous stained glass windows and a great view. Plus the bathrooms are exceptionally clean. The rooftop breakfast is also a highlight. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Our best accommodation in Morocco.

United KingdomPersonally very steep to the Riad as we are old.
Lovely riad, breakfast was reasonable. The host was brilliant. Would not recommend it for elderly or old people as it is very steep walking up to the Riad. But a lovely location for young and fit people. Brilliant view from the terrace.

NetherlandsEverything was better then we could have imagined.
The view that opened up from the terrace was incredible. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. Staff was flexible with the timing of the breakfast. Mohamed was THE BEST host we ever experienced. Abdul was a friendly as well as flexible driver that this riad provided us with. Even though we didn’t meet the owner of Dar Gnaoua Laurence, she was very strong in communication. Just a text away and always there to help.

Hong KongYou have to walk these narrow and isolated streets in the medina to reach the hotel. Carrying suitcases will not be fun. As a solo traveler, I didn't feel safe walking in these streets alone even in daylights. If you are with someone, then you should be fine. If people tell you that you are walking to the walk direction, ignore them because they are probably scammers trying to bring you somewhere else or charge you a helping fee.
I like the view of the balcony. I can also see the city from my room.

BelgiumThis is a whole, marvelous experience. We didn't see the owner, Laurence, but Mohammed, who works and lives in the riad, along with his family, was absolutely amazing. It was such a relief to be able to talk to someone intelligent, perfectly trilingual Arabic/English/French (maybe more?), authentic, but most of all: finally someone who understands that true luxury means discretion. Must be the best rooftop view over Fes available. Their dinner (served on the rooftop of course) was among the best, most refined meals we had during our stay in Morocco. Prepared in their kitchen by Mohammed's family. We came by rental car, and beforehand Laurence had asked us whether we wanted the dinner (say yes!) for a very reasonable price. She also proposed that we meet Mohammed in an easy to reach spot (as always, mind the many speedbumps though!). Mohammed pointed us towards the nearest guarded parking spot and made the arrangements with the parking guy. It cost only 30 dirhams per night. He then helped us carry our bags, while giving us a tour trough his neighbourhood, and answering any questions in perfect English (or French, if you prefer). Once arrived at the riad, we received our own beautiful map of the neighbourhood, which he used to continue to describe the city, and giving some pointers on how to get around. We then got a small tour around the entire riad, and arrived in our very beautiful room (we had the room on the top floor). A bit later our dinner was served. Such a great, and much needed, experience! Additionally, we used their service to do some laundry, for 50 dirham. When we arrived the second evening, after a tiring trip trough the medina, not only our clothes were waiting for us, they had also neatly arranged our room and made the bed! We had the most amazing time here! Don't hesitate, if you can, book your stay in Fes here!
