Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

We were given a room in the private house that opens directly onto the desert and had the entire place to ourselves. Mustafa and Rozha who cooked for us were so friendly. We stayed just one night but wished it could’ve been longer. Merzouga is very quiet this time of year and we practically had the dunes to ourselves too.

United States of AmericaWe were lucky enough to stay at the Desert House where we had excellent breakfast and dinner in the comfort of our house and relaxed out on the porch for afternoon tea. It was like a little piece of paradise in the desert! The staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and make the stay one of our best in Morocco. We also did the overnight camel trek which was excellent.

BelgiumThe lighting in the bathroom was so dark you could hardly see. No water pressure in the shower, but I guess this is because we are in the desert. Lots of nice plants in the inner courtyard and gardens, but they need watering. Swimming pool is a good size but also needs a bit ot TLC.
We spent three nights at kasbah Mohayut. The place is nice and quiet and in a good location, with the dunes in walking distance at the back of the kasbah. We had an issue with a blocked sink and that was taken care of straight away. The staff was very nice and helpful, especially a young lad named Youness who spoke good English. We enjoyed a very peaceful camel ride into the desert camp. Dinner at the camp was a little bit disorganised, but the guys were so friendly and entertained us with traditional music... Overall, it was a good trip out to the dunes. Breakfast was plentyful, and always with yummy pancakes, fresh orange juice, mint tea/coffee. The Sunday breakfast was specially delicious with additional traditional pastries.

IsraelIn the evening the air conditioner started to drip, they immediately changed our room, because in the heat of the desert such things can happen. Thanks for everything !
Big rooms, good pool, highly recommended dinner, they brought us watermelon for the pool, we liked everything, thank you very much for the hospitality.

United KingdomWhat a fantastic time made special by Mohammed and his staff. Kasbah Mohayut is the perfect little oasis on the edge of the dunes which provides a little bit of paradise in the middle Of the desert. It’s a blend of traditional Moroccan with contemporary design and all the finishing provide great comfort. Breakfast was delicious, the rooms and facilities were impeccably clean and staff were extremely attentive. I highly recommend Masbah Mohayut.

United States of AmericaDinner could be better (more choices and seasoning/spices.
nice property outside of Merzouga with parking, pool, terraces, and a few minutes walk out to the lower dune area northeast. It was nice to pull into this place (plenty of parking), be welcomed and led to a large air conditioned room, just off the pool area, take a swim then drive about 5-8 minutes to the big dune area and walk out 10-15 minutes and take in the views and silence. Had thought this was closer to the big dunes area but that didn’t matter as it was a quick drive. Loved the refreshing pool and they even made a snack for us after arrival as we had been driving from Tinehir (Todra gorge) Dinner was on the patio - lovely setting and a fixed 3 course menu but they allowed us to pick a-la-carte as we didnt want all 3 courses each. It was ok but we would have liked more spices and choices (We found that with most of the places in Morocco, with a few great exceptions in the cities). Breakfast was the normal Moroccan choices of breads, jams, yogurt, coffee etc. that you could take out to the patio areas or have in the dining area.

NetherlandsDuring our stay they were working on the wifi in the dune house, so we had no wifi overthere. But that’s a luxury problem. It did work at the pool and restaurant area.
We had a room at the dune house which is directly to Sahara. So the dessert is your backyard. Was a really nice surprise. The staff was so kind to help us with my wifes gluten allergy. Google translate helped us a bit to overcome the language barriere as our French is that good but their French is great. The room was nice and big and had a bed what was really comfortable. The kind you don’t want to get out of. The swimmingpool has enough places to sit in the sun or shadow. The food is good and fresh!
