Beautiful riad within a 5+ minute walk of the Grand Socco. Everyone on the staff was welcoming and friendly - particularly Juliette and Valerie. Absalom kindly picked us up from the airport and a week later brought us to the ferry to cross the Straits of Gibraltar. Our beautiful garden room was very large with a greenhouse wall opening onto a small patio with the small elegant Riad pool just beyond. Our own private paradise. The wonderful cook Ilham serves a delicious breakfast spread of homemade breads and pastries, fresh fruit, yogurts, and custards plus eggs if you desire. Ilhan also cooked us a delicious beef and prune tagine one evening (dinners arranged upon special request). Definitely book a hammam at the Riad including the scrub. Boutaina does a wonderful scrub in the Riad's beautiful steamy private hammam. (Note while we did not go to one in Tangier we also love public Hammams.)

It was difficult to shower without getting the bathroom floor soaking wet. We had to pay extra for breakfast, however it was convenient and worth the price. The cost of the room was a bit high, but that's Tangier generally compared to the rest of Morocco and this was a hotel with a lobby, not a riad.

The room was lovely and quiet. The beds were comfortable. The people running the hotel are very kind and the cook is wonderful. It is worth paying extra for dinner one night. The views on the top of the hotel of the sea are fantastic. The location can't be beat as we could walk almost everywhere (except the train station).

The bed in room number 3 was a bit creaky but very comfortable.

We traveled around Morocco for two weeks and La Maison was the best place we stayed! Very friendly staff, clean, excellent breakfast, beautiful pool area, excellent location, and chic well appointed rooms. The Hammam massage combo offered at the hotel was also incredible!

La Maison de Tanger is a home for people who look for tranquility and beauty. It's a charming place, close to the medina and a beautiful view spots over the ocean. I'll be happy to be back :)

It's very easy to recommend this Maison warmly. Friendly and beautiful at the same time. Nice garden, roof-terrace with great view. Excellent hammam, well-tasting lamb-tagine for dinner and superb, homemade breakfast. Very forthcoming and helpful staff. Thanks for a great stay!

we were only staying for one night so I don’t know if it happened after that day but there was a lot of work (banging and scraping) going on either in the next door room to our bedroom or above us, it was difficult to tell. this was at about 10am and continued until we checked out at 12. we were getting up to have breakfast but if we wanted a lie in or simply to relax on the terrace attached to the bedroom, it would have been impossible as we couldn’t even hear each other speak. I was really surprised that they didn’t wait to do the work until after 12. you could also hear it downstairs but obviously not to the same degree. it was a shame as the room was really lovely otherwise and very comfortable bed.

The location is excellent, the lobby and public areas are charming, and the room and terrace are wonderful. The breakfast was delicious. But it was the people that made our visit memorable. Julliette, Valerie, and all the staff added the warmth that makes a visit special (even while tolerating my very poor French)!
