Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThe breakfast is simple and might be unfulfilling if you’re staying for multiple days. The swimming pool didn’t look too clean, but you wont need it as its very cool in the riad.
The hostess was very friendly. We liked the medina, it’s a short walk to the Medina and that makes it a rather quiet neighborhood. The cat that runs around in the riad is really funny.

SpainA fan on the upper or lower part would be nice, since in summer is too hot. It's not very important, but would make it better.
Bacha is, by far, the best of the Riad! We stayed for more than 1 week and she changed a little the breakfast everyday, and helped us with anything we needed. We felt like home.

PortugalA very warm and generous welcome, we enjoyed the pool, and the rooftop with the view of the starry sky, and the comforting coolness of the room in the hottest hours of the day. A lot of local commerce and great food in the neighbourhood that's way less touristy than every other part of Medina that we've been to (also, visit the neighbourhood hammam for the full experience!).

United KingdomOur room is a bit squashed with 4 of us and luggage. The bathroom has no window which means the airflows weren't great. The place needs a bit of TLC.
The lady was very friendly and helpful. The pool area was nice and relaxing.

United KingdomThe mosque next door woke me up most mornings at 5am but my husband and children slept through so it depends if you’re a light sleeper! The Wi-Fi is patchy though the best reception is on the terrace. This has a covered seating are in case you need to work.
The Riad has a homely feel and is managed by a lady called Bacha who looked after us very well like a kind Aunt. The breakfast is simple but the bread/pancakes are a little different everyday. There is a roof terrace where you can sit, eat or relax and our children loved the swimming pool even though it was freezing in April! We also loved the 15 minute walk into the central square as the route took us through traditional bazaars and souqs where we could see the Moroccan way of life before reaching the touristy areas. We always felt safe walking around and the Riad felt very safe at night too. The beds were comfortable and the room was the perfect temperature.

United KingdomThe host made us a personal breakfast every morning at whatever time we wanted. There is a gate and then a door to get into the property, both could be locked and you are given a key. The host was absolutely incredible and made us both feel completely at ease. She was prepared to help us in any way that we needed, whether that was giving us a bottle of water or helping us book an activity riding camels. I would recommend staying in this riad to anyone travelling under the same circumstances as me, I was looking for somewhere somewhat central (which this is, only a 20 minute walk from the centre) but was not looking to pay too much money. Overall, I would definitely recommend!

United States of AmericaLike anywhere in Marrakech you will be near a mosque, so just be ready for the early morning call to prayer.
We've never experienced hospitality like we did at this Riad. Bach is incredibly kind and hospitable, with delicious breakfast and always asking if anything she can do or help with. The Riad is just tucked away to be out of the hustle, and Bach will make sure you know how to get around the Medina and have a smooth experience. The room was very comfortable, great size, nice AC, and good hot water for what we thought was a very fair price. The cool plunge pool was nice for those hot afternoons of exploring. Great terrace as well, best enjoyed in the morning.

United KingdomThe Riad was ideally located and it felt like our home. Our host Bacha could not have done more to make us comfortable, she was so helpful and attentive! Nothing was too much trouble. There are great places for food at short distance away. The pool in the internal courtyard and the roof terrace were favourites with the kids for cooling down and sunbathing respectively. Overall a great experience - I will definitely recommend it!

SpainUnfortunately, we left after 1 night of our 2 night booking. We paid some more money and moved to a slightly more expensive Riad which was much nicer. We were in the blue room for 3, and the bathroom had no ventilation at all and smelled strongly of cleaning chemicals. I really appreciate this is someone's livelihood, but some investment is needed for the future of the Riad.
Unfortunately, I can't recommend to stay at Riad Azenzer. While the price is cheaper than many other Riads and that is good, the place itself is quite basic, run down and dark. We spent time looking at the pictures and it looks very nice, and the lady who owns the Riad is kind and lovely, and made us a big couscous on our arrival. However, our experience was that it needs looking after a lot to make this a good place to stay in Marrakech. The location is interesting as it's not in the centre, and we can recommend the vegan story telling cafe around the corner. But overall for a short stay it's nice to be more central in my view.

UkraineThe toilet was flowing, even with the close door to the bathroom we could hear it and also if you flash once then you needed to wait another 20 mins to have it full to flash it again. Also the shower was stuck, if 1 person showers it was the bath for second. We got back to the room after some time and it was still there. We told about it to the owner, I believe she fixed it, but we didn’t want even to shower there anymore. During the breakfast in the bread we found hair.
The host was very friendly and helpful.
