Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomBeing located in the heart of the old medina, the location is a bit scary for women especially in navigating the streets toward the riad. The porters were very kind to have guided us 2 women there on the first night but after that we were left to our own devices and at every turn there were men who kept trying to lead us to a different part of the medina or ask us to go into shops. It got a bit tiresome.
This riad was fantastic in terms of the grandeur of the property itself. It really gave us the feeling of being in a traditional riad and the price for the stay was good value for money. The room was the largest one we've stayed in and all the amenities were great. The breakfast was buffet style and they were happy to cook you an omelette or to warm up your bread upon request. Our porters were also really lovely and kind in taking our bags through the maze of the old medina.

Incredible location at the very heart of Fes medina, you find yourself in the original 17 th century riad with mosaics, wooden carving and whole atmosphere preserved, was so great to feel part of this old and still contemporary vibe! Stanning roof top view as well.

United StatesThis is a very authentic experience and it is an old riad. So the walls and rooms aren’t completely sound proofed. But this is to be expected and part of the experience.
The staff are amazing and attentive. They made the experience.

SwitzerlandThe location is quite central in the old medina, it is easy to find the hotel as there are a lot of signs. Anyway it was a bit difficult to find restaurants in the proximity and a little uncomfortable to walk back through the alleys at night.
Very authentic houses and rooms

United StatesThe tour guide the Riad recommended to us wasn't the best, he only took us to very touristy places all of the shops charged 4-5 times what other local shops charged for many of the same products. Also, the spa/hammam at the riad is quite small and can only accommodate one customer at a time. We were unable to use the spa here and had to travel to a nearby Riad for their spa.
The building and the rooms were incredible. The Riad is an old 16th-century home with almost all original work and in great condition. Service was also great, the staff was very attentive and helped us with recommendations and reservations every day.

United Arab EmiratesWe asked for two carts to drop off to the taxi stand when we were checking out and they only arranged one, which was very problematic. The person driving the cart even got injured with the load and we felt bad. The Riad is deep inside the Medina so getting there is a little tough.
Beautiful Riad. One of the nicest that we stayed at. Great breakfast. Lovely rooftop and the architecture of the building is stunning. The spa and hamam services in house were very convenient.

TurkeyBreakfast could be improved. With these rates, offering only one type of cheese is definitely unacceptable. There should be a few more cheese options at the buffet. Also, only a plain omelette is offered.Again with these room rates, any omelette(cheese*tomato*onions etc)should be offered… Any hotel in Morocco should include the fresh French baguette as well, which was missing. In short I would give breakfast maybe a 7😔

United StatesThe hotel is beautiful, and our room was adorable, comfortable, and spacious. We also indulged in a "Hammam" experience (an incredible bath, a must-try!) and a massage. The ladies who provided us with this special treat during our trip were exceptionally kind and caring. I felt their warmth and hospitality, and I wished I could speak their language to engage with them more. Breakfast was also delicious! This is definitely a place where I would stay again, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to my friends and family if they visit Fes.

Beautiful Riad. The staff were very friendly. They helped us pick up the bags at the carpark outside the medina, and to drop them off as well when we left. They also organized a tourguide for us for a tour through Fez. We felt very welcome.

Lovely welcome at the 17th century stunning riad. Upon arrival we were served Moroccan tea and biscuits in the outdoor lounge which had its own unique charm. We then were given a tour of the riad by Yasin who gave us the history of the riad. Friendly staff always there to help. The room was beautiful and spacious. The views from the rooftop are breathtaking. Nice breakfast and we ordered our evening meals too. The spa facilities were excellent.
