Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe room with terrace is not worth the extra money as the terrace is way too hot to use during the day. A normal room at the back of the hotel is probably best due to some road noise. The food was not great: The lamb roast was extremely dry and had no flavour. The only OK dish was the Lamb tajine with prunes/Almonds.
The pool! The friendly staff! The garden! The check in and out times! The fact that you can make a great walk in the palm trees from the hotel. The secure parking. The most silent air conditioning I have ever had in any hotel!

Beautiful hotel. Mixture of traditional and modern Moroccan decoration. Wonderful garden and pool area. Very good value and a great place before, or after, going into the desert. Great food in the restaurant. Highly recommended.

United States of AmericaWe liked everything.
First of all, this Riad is a beautiful structure. After checking in we sat down the garden area for delicious soup and bread. The interior was beautifully decorated and we loved our terrace room.

United KingdomGardens are big we enjoyed chilling in the hammocks. Pool looked lovely but was too cold for swimming in January. The welcome arrival drinks were nice and the best dates I have ever eaten! Dinner and breakfast good they provide plenty of options. Best shower we had in all of Morocco. Room was on the small side but fine for a night or two. Bit of road noise, however a different (garden side) room was offered to us on arrival. Small shop just down the road (walking distance).

FranceI don't see what could be improved. Really.
On our two week trip in Morocco this was the luxury bubble. Just everything was perfect: the feather blanket, breakfast and dinner, the decoration, the books around the chimney room, the garden embedded into the palm grove, and last but not least the very attentive and nice people working at the Riad.

MonacoWe had nothing negative about Riad Sofian, we had a lovely time
We had a really really lovely stay, we loved everything about the place , The owner Moulay was very welcoming, he had a work with all hotel guest, which we found really nice of him. Ibrahim from the front desk was also welcoming and attentive to all of our request. Not all Road serve alcohol, but at Riad Sofian they have a nice choice of wine and spirits. We particularly enjoy the Moroccan red wine 😊 we will defenitly go back on our next trip 😍

AustraliaThe heating in the dining areas was inadequate most of the time, as all guests were having meals in jackets, coats and head warmers/beanies. It was a 45-minute walk from town, so we were limited to meals at the riad. These were fine, but just typical of limited Moroccan menus we found across the country. They were nothing special.
A beautiful property. No expense had been spared with the indoor and outdoor furniture, decor and maintenance. We just needed to chill for a couple of days after some intense travelling, and the large, sunny, grassed gardens with multiple loungers and outdoor settings, amounts beautiful date palms and other trees were perfect for this. There were multiple outdoor settings in two other areas; one of them around a pool. We used these a lot, as the sun moved around. The staff were helpful and very pleasant. It was an interesting walk through the surrounding date palm crops on a sunny day.

United KingdomThe only improvement would be to provide tea making facilities in the room.
We loved the property, characterful with many fascinating historic artefacts, big pool, spacious garden, warm wood fire, effective WiFi, lovely quiet location just out of town. Ibrahim was invariably helpful and caring, the waiting staff couldn’t have done more and the food was delicious. The room was light and cleaned perfectly.

United KingdomNothing, it was perfect
This place is wonderful. We loved everything about it! The room (we had the suite for 2 adults and 2 kids) was large and luxurious, the beds super comfy and the bathroom was huge. We loved the big swimming pool and the beautiful extensive gardens. The staff were all amazing (special thanks to Ibrahim) - helpful and kind and always there if you needed something without hovering or being intrusive. The dinner was delicious and good value and the breakfast was huge! All in all this place offers excellent value for money. Highly recommended!

United KingdomIf we could pick this hotel up and take it with us on our trip through Morocco we would. Greeted with tea, dates and nuts while we checked in, then shown to a beautiful medium sized room with lovely bathroom. Great shower pressure and robes on the side, comfortable bed with plenty of pillows. The pool is a good size and there are lovely gardens. It is out of town so is beautifully quiet and sheltered us well from the winds and dust. The evening meal had good choices and was very tasty with excellent service. The breakfast was epic!

United States of AmericaIt’s a little confusing when you enter because the front desk is located downstairs although there are no signs indicating where to go. Very minor concern though.
The riad is easy to find, very professional, clean, and in excellent quality all around. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful, and the garden is incredible. The dates grown there in particular are some of the best I’ve had.

GermanyThere is nothing much you can do in Zagora in September. The earth is scorched, and it is far too hot to climb the mountains or walk some distance.
A place like paradise in the middle of the desert. An optimal place to relax and enjoy the pool and garden.
