Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. All the staff were warm and welcoming, whether managers, kitchen staff, cleaners or porters. All the spaces we used were spotlessly clean and comfortable, the Riad is an oasis of calm in a totally wonderful city. We did consider going to one of those big hotels etc, instead we stayed in the Riad Itrane and had a fantastic time there and would definitely choose to stay there again. We followed various recommendations for eating out, to be honest, the meals we had at the Riad were the best with the tagine of lamb, prunes and almonds being outstanding, fair warning though, bring your appetite, brilliant. The city, certainly a culture shock, however, after coming to terms with getting lost during the day and night, we just shrugged our shoulders and enjoyed the experience and ended up exploring and discovering a magical place of such a wonderfully rich history, so much to see and learn. We never once felt unsafe or at risk and so many times we were pointed in the right direction haha! Tips. If you plan to go to the main tourist locations, go early, as soon after opening as possible, toilets were clean in all locations including in the souks. Look both ways and behind you when out and about. Drop in to the music museum, near the secret garden, a fascinating place. Take a tour to the mountains, this was organised by the Riad staff, again a wonderful experience and also desperately sad to see the effects of the earthquake. Would I return to Marrakech and Riad Itrane, yes absolutely, both are wonderful places but really it is also the people both encountered around the city and back in the Riad that made it an exceptional experience. Thank you all

RussiaJust one little thing to improve. The water in the shower was draining very slowly.
Riad Itrane is just an amazing oasis in the heart of Medina, where we have spent our little Moroccan holidays. From our first step at Marrakech airport we were looking after like beloved family members. Pick up service was great and absolutely worth if it is your first time in Marrakech. The driver was very nice and communicative, and the porter helped us not to get lost in the crazy traffic of Medina. We found the Riad charming and incredibly cozy. Our room Antares was big enough and very comfortable. The roof terrace is just a perfect place to chill out with a glass of wine or Moroccan tea. We enjoyed our breakfasts which were freshly cooked and delicious. I also encourage you to try the dinner in the Riad which we had after arrival. It was served by the swimming pool, very romantic and extremely delicious. And the main diamond of the Riad Itrane for us was staff. Abdel and Sophian were very helpful and supportive. They always greeted us with a smile, asked about our day and gave us lots of tips and good advice. It was a real pleasure to be looked after by you. Also many thanks to Charlotte & Patrice, which I bombarded with emails, for your help and detailed information. It was very useful and allowed me to prepare well for the trip. All the best to the greatest Itrane family and hope to see you again.

United KingdomThe only thing that was a slight niggle was the shower that you had to either hold it as when on the holder was too close to the wall. As a result the floor would get very well.
We loved the location, right in the middle of the medina but amazing calm and quiet. All the people who work there are genuinely interested in making sure that you have the best experience, nothing is too much. The breakfasts were plentiful and they would cater around you if you wanted an early or late breakfast. The room was clean and had everything you needed, with areas outside to sit in the shade or up on the roof terrace. We couldn’t have asked for a better location or accommodation- thank you for your hospitality.

United KingdomNothing.
An exceptional Riad in the heart of the Medina. I would like to express my thanks to everyone at Riad Itrane. Each member of staff here is helpful, kind and wonderful at their jobs. Safety The Riad is situated down a quiet street in the Medina. If you get a SIM card at the airport, you can easily find the Riad on google maps, or the Riad will come and collect you. As two young women, we felt incredibly safe and well taken care of. I really can’t speak highly enough of this beautiful place. Food & drinks I encourage everyone to try the dinner that they offer. We had it in the evening on the day of arrival. Three delicious courses with a lovely local wine. The dining area is beautifully quiet, you will feel so well looked after. Each morning the breakfast is wonderful. It’s very relaxed, with a variety of different food. I particularly enjoyed the figs & coffee. Travelling to Marrakech with my friend, we both felt so safe and supported. We were made to feel at home from the moment we walked through the door. The Riad is spotlessly clean, with beautiful areas to sit in the sun and try the Moroccan tea (which we did often). I look forward to returning again to this wonderful place, it really does feel like a home away from home. Riad Itrane, choukran!

SwitzerlandThe riad arranges taxi (for the airport pickup, day trips) or day tours at a much steeper price compared to what the other hotels / riads offer. Also I was offered a higher conversion price between Euros and Dirhams when I was paying for my stay but the hotel staff rectified it when I refused to accept it.
Beautiful property with charming courtyards, clean and well maintained rooms and an amazing terrace. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The owner came over multiple times to have a brief chat and to make sure we felt comfortable, that was very nice. Breakfast is amazing - must try the Berberi omlet. The location is really amazing, in a quiet street with less than 5 mins walk to the main square.

United KingdomIn Dec/Jan, the riad feels very cold early mornings and late evenings. But they have heaters which they place around breakfast tables which is nice.
Fantastic location, right in the middle of the main square. As soon as you come inside the Riad, it is an oasis and quiet haven. Staff are fantastic and ever so friendly, happy to help with anything small or big. We were not early risers but the flexibility of having breakfast whenever you woke up was amazing. Excursions booked with the staff were of good quality and met expectations.

PortugalA small negative, I would have preferred not to have glass bottles in the shower . They were pretty, though !
All the staff were lovely and very helpful and their attention to detail.by walking us to a local restaurant.and asked how many minutes we would like our eggs boiled. I would recommend their airport collection service..We arrived on a Sunday afternoon at 5pm and the square was absolutely heaving. We would never had found the Riad without their porter who was attentive. Very peaceful with nice views from the roof terraces and close to the square. Breakfast was freshly prepared and different every day which as tasty.

GermanyIt has been a very long time since I visited a hotel where the staff was so attentive and helpful. Many times a day they made sure that we had all we needed. They gave very helpful information on our arrival, including how not to get ripped off (too much :D) as a tourist. The hotel itself is just a few minutes away by foot from the heart of Medina. As the hotel is located on a side street, it is quiet inside so that you are not bothered by the noisy main streets. It is a typical riad so we had lots of fun exploring the inside of the hotel itself.

United KingdomIf I'm being really fussy, I would have preferred a different pillow but that's it and comes down to personal preference. Everything was spot on.
We had a wonderful stay at Riad Itrane and were sad to leave. The Riad is beautiful and large enough to find a quiet corner to relax. We particularly enjoyed spending mornings on the roof terraces before facing the bustling streets outside. The location is perfect and walking distance to everywhere you want to be. The breakfast is large and varied with freshly prepared crepes, eggs etc every day. The staff were fantastic and are probably the biggest asset. Thank you for a great time!

BelgiumIn riads in general i guess you can sometimes hear your neighbours. That comes with the style of this specific type of buildings. However i slept very well, so for me not really an issue.
Very nice riad 5 minutes from Jemma el Fnaa. That comes useful when you need some break from the vibrant city. We had spacious suite with comfortable beds and private terace which was great. Tasty breakfast with great choice every day and polite staff always ready to help. Friendly owners. It was a nice experience. I would recommend.

United KingdomNothing we didn’t like though the pool is in an awkward location to use with kids - there is no where to leave things. But really minor detail.
Great location in the medina, down a quiet alleyway so could get out of the hustle and bustle. Roof terrace was a lovely place to relax at the end of the day. Always immaculate and clean, really friendly and attentive staff. Food excellent standard - had one evening meal and breakfasts were varied and interesting.

United KingdomGreat location, easy to find down a lit alleyway off a busy street. About 5 minutes’ walk from the main square. The Urantia suite is lovely; a sitting room, a bedroom and bathroom all done out in traditional Moroccan style. What really makes this room (and the whole riad) is the incredible rooftop space - we had our own private bit with this room but there are plenty of spaces elsewhere to sit / lie around. The highest point gives you incredible views across the medina’s rooftops especially at dusk. You really need somewhere to relax if you’re staying in Marrakech and Riad Itrane’s rooftop is the ideal space. If the weather is not so good there’s also the lovely courtyard spaces, some of which are covered.
