Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PortugalGreat location. It’s only 2 minutes from Jemaa el-fna and in one of the main streets of the Medina with easy access to most of the main attractions. You find the Riad easily the first time, even at night. The breakfast was amazing and would make some european hotels jealous.

United KingdomOur room was on the ground floor so it was quite noisy at night although this is not the fault of the riad.
Lovely riad just a few minutes walk from Jemaa el Fna. Great breakfast and friendly staff who made us feel very welcome.

United KingdomNot much. Bathroom bit small, but expected in old building, difficult to find initially and because nearby square closed to traffic PM access for transfers need to be orgaised with more care… but that’s the small price you pay for the excellent location

LithuaniaMight be more things necessary for the shower (soap, more shampoo, etc.). There were no trash bags in the trash can.
Nice terace with a good view to have breakfast and very good and tasty breakfast. Location is quite ok, 3-5 minutes from the main square. There is a possibility to order massage in the hotel.

United StatesThe breakfast was delicious, the rooms are clean and beautiful, the location is ideal for exploring Marrakesh. I had an issue where I booked the wrong day for check in and they worked with me to resolve my error even though they were completely full and it was 4AM. Exceptional service, highly recommend staying here. As a bonus, they also have shows and a spa, and while I didn't get to try those out, I'm sure they are as wonderful as the rest of this riad. Can't say enough good things about it. :)

I booked a room for 2 nights and everything was great! The room that I got wasn't spacious yet it had everything I needed to have a rest and to feel comfortable. The rooms are also very clean. They cleaned my room whilst I was away and it was perfect when I came back. I did the hammam as well at their spa and it was good! They served me breakfast 15 mins before the opening time because I had an early flight to catch. Thank you for your hospitality! Will definitely stay again inshaAllah :)

United KingdomA few simple amenities such and body wash would’ve been good, but the Riad only provides shampoo. One thing I was very disappointed with, we organised a private transfer to pick us up for the airport to take us to the hotel. We paid extra, much more than what a taxi would cost to do this. However, when we arrived, our transport was not there for us. We had waited 15-20 minutes, maybe more, and then we had to borrow a phone from the airport security guard to call the hotel, to organise someone to pick us up. Which meant that we had to wait for at least another 20 minutes. Granted, our flight was delayed, but we gave the hotel our flight number so they should have been aware of that. And then when we finally got to the hotel, they still charged us the full amount of the transfer, even though they completely messed up. That’s why I have marked down this review a bit. Other than this one thing, the staff were really great.
Great location, and close to the Medina. The staff for the most part were very helpful. Any questions I had, they were very willing to help. The room was nice and clean, and the bed was very comfortable.

United KingdomRooms were echoing a lot, not nice if you find some noisy neighbours..
We stayed in Marrakech for a week, and we spent 4 nights in the Riad Jnane Mogador. All the staff has always been accomodating, smiling, kind and polite, always trying to fulfill your needs as much as possible, from the reception, to the breakfast guys, to the girls from the hammam. The room was pretty big, with ensuit bathroom and shower. The view outside was not great, but the view from inside was just stunning. We also tried the hammam and massage experience, which was good and good quality price. If I would ever be back in Marrakech I won’t miss Riad Jnane Mogador!
