Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomBeing in the centre of the Medina, the area felt a bit dodgy at night. Mopeds and other motorcycles keep zooming through the narrow streets and almost knocked us several times.
The accommodation was very charming and felt like a piece of home away from home, the bathroom was stunning and very atypical (in a good way). The breakfast was delicious and always varied and the staff were very friendly and always ready to help us. This has to be one of the prettiest places I've stayed in.

GermanyOur beds were on the firmer side and pillows rather flat which might not be of everyone's taste.
The riad is magical! It oozes old charm and around every corner there's something surprising to look at (and take photos of!). For those who appreciate early and mid-century furniture design, this place will offer plenty of treats! The location is ideal. Everything is a walking distance away. The food they serve is very good quality and even vegetarians were catered for.

United KingdomOur Google maps sent us in the wrong direction originally so we found it difficult to find but once we knew where it was it was fine. In hindsight we should have booked the taxi from the airport via the hotel and we wouldn’t have had this issue.
The staff were so welcoming and helpful, the beds are so comfy and the breakfast each day was absolutely delicious and so much more than we were expecting. We absolutely loved the decor in the Riad, and loved the sun loungers for some peace and quiet at the end of the day. Would highly recommend to anyone.

CanadaWhile this tranquil hotel has been in the quarter for many decades, it is now surrounded by a blur of touristic gentrification, shops and spas. While staying at the Domain Malika, I mainly stayed in the hotel's gardens and avoided the touristic chaos.
Domain / Riad Malika is definitely in the top one hundred of the world's most legendary and eccentric hotels with the ghosts of the French Protectorate and Parisian Modernist artists not far away. This old Marrakech hotel dramatically encompasses a legendary set of gardens, green terraces, expansive city views, a swimming pool, and a eclectic collection of mid-twentieth century Moroccan and European Modernist art. Compared to the rooms in the most recent Riads in the neighbourhood, the rooms at Domain Malika are massive. In the city's centre for cultural tourism near Dal el Bacha, Medersa Ben Youssef and the Jardin Secret, one can go from tranquillity to Third World chaos in less than a minute. The staff are kind, caring, and very competent -- providing important advice. The food is very good and is served in one of the gardens or by a fire place.

United KingdomThis is a magical place. We stayed in the Junior Suite which was beautifully appointed with its own balcony overlooking the central courtyard. The rooms were comfortable and gloriously decorated with a wonderful array of artworks. The riad as a whole is delightful, quirkily and stylishly decorated with works of art, beautiful plants and water-features. The pool is lovely offering the chance to cool down after a hard day in the medina. Breakfast is served in the courtyard and is a delicious feast prepared and served by staff-members who could not be more friendly, helpful and polite. For a return to Marrakech, this is where we will be heading!! Thanks so much for making us so welcome.

United StatesThis is hotel was truly a dream! I've never before stayed in a hotel that I didn't want to leave, but I felt that way about this gorgeous guesthouse. The eclectic moroccan-meets-vintage look was just stunning and so creative. The courtyard was so alive, beautiful and relaxing (keep an eye out for the tortoises!), and the private pool lined with artwork, blooming trees and a 1960s lounge area made me feel like Alice in Wonderland. Our room was lovely, beautifully decorated with stained glass windows, soaring ceilings, and a balcony overlooking the pool. The staff/concierge were very kind and accomodating, and breakfast was great. Lastly - but certainly not least - we found the location to be ideal, as it is easily walkable from the medina and all the sights, but nestled down a quiet street in a not-quite-so-touristy neighborhood (also a nice area to mosey around if you are not quite feeling like the hustle-and-bustle of the medina). I would stay here a thousand times!!

United KingdomThere were some problems with the water supply (which can be expected in an old city like this) whilst we were there but it was sorted very quickly
The stylish retro interiors ensure Riad Malika stands apart from all the other riads. We had a huge amount of living space (room 1), a small living room below the bedroom allowed us to have a much more comfortable stay, with our 3 year old son. It’s cool, calm, very close to the medina but feels like another world. And the resident tortoises were fun to watch! The staff were especially wonderful, we felt so at home here.

Spectacular riad- you feel like you’re at the coolest spot in Marrakech. The team are so welcoming - my flight was delayed and I still was served my requested supper - a lavish amazing dinner when I finally arrived around 9/9.30pm. I loved the pool, the decor, the bedroom and breakfast. Great location.

United KingdomThe pool, while very welcome and great to cool off in, was more of a plunge pool than a swimming pool. The second room in the suite was very tiny and without air conditioning, not practicable. On request, they moved the bed into the main area, which was a workable solution.
Beatuiful riad, lovely staff, great location. The breakfast was delicious and plenty of it; the room, spacious and comfortable with a really cool and eclectic design (like the entire riad) . Such beautiful gardens and interesting, pretty little nooks and crannies to explore on each floor and a fantastic view of the city roof tops and the Koutoubia on the top terrace.

VietnamThe transportation of Marrakech is so crazy. There are out-of-control motorbikes, and young boys ride it with high speed in the small road of Medina.
Gorgeous riad, after the small door, is ample space with a garden, and the birds sing from morning to evening. Nice staff, clean room.
