Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

HungaryWe loved everything! Even though the riad is located deep inside the busy Medina, it was really quiet and relaxing. The interior is beautiful (including the rooftop) and staff are lovely. Beds are comfortable and we had plenty of space in the room, although we have booked one of the suites. If we ever come back to Marrakesh, we'll definitely be staying at Riad Matham again.

United States of AmericaWonderful Riad - historic / old charm with all modern upgrades/facilities. Great location, in the middle of the old city - everything was walking distance including the main square. Great food - breakfast and dinner. Fantastic staff, especially the manager Hisham, who attended to all our needs - went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable! Highly recommend this Riad!

United KingdomWe loved every aspect of Riad Matham. It felt like such a quiet and secluded haven away from the hustle and bustle of the souks. Hasshim, the riad manager, could not have been more helpful with meeting us and even walking us back to the taxi drop off point (2 mins away) at the end of our stay, and gave us a brilliant in-depth overview of where to go and what to do. We arrived late and were welcomed with the most delicious 3 course dinner on a rose petal strewn table. The rooftop was such a highlight - the highest one around with amazing views of the city and mountains. Cannot recommend enough!

We couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. Hisham arranged and airport transfer and then met us to bring us to the Riad. He brought us Mint tea and cookies then spent ages briefing us and helped us download a map app and enter the key sights of interest to make it easy to navigate the labyrinth of the Medina. We ate a delicious dinner in the Riad with a petal strewn table overlooking the beautiful courtyard garden and pool on our first night. The place is so tastefully decorated with beautiful pieces of art and craft set against clean white washed walls. The place is exceptionally clean and well managed. It's in the perfect position in the Medina with a short walk to a good choice of great restaurants, the souks and key tourist sights. I can't recommend enough.

The property was clean. Tastefully decorated. It was dreamy and awesome. I can never forget when I asked Hicham a favor to transfer my luggage to another Riad after my trip to Merzhouga and he immediately replied and within minutes it was done. This is exceptional customer service! The ladies who prepared the breakfast were so nice and served the delicious breakfast with a smile!Massage was great too!

United KingdomNothing - was just what we wanted
It was a beautiful, clean and calm oasis in a prime location. Rooms were very spacious, the courtyard is stunning and the rooftop enjoys panoramic, calming views of the city - great for sunrise and sunset. Hachim greeted us about a 5 minute walk from the hotel as there was a road blockage at the time. Throughout our stay, Hachim was the most lovely, attentive and helpful host, concierge, greeter, handyman - a real all rounder and such a friendly face. He made our stay infinitely better. The rest of the staff, cleaners, kitchen staff were lovely too and put on a delicious breakfast spread every morning. Would 100% recommend to anyone - brilliant value for money

United KingdomCalm and pleasant vibes throughout and tastefully decorated, we enjoyed our stay here. Isham and staff were helpful when we had questions or needed recommendations. We appreciated that there was no pressure to buy additional services. This was our first time in Marrakech so Isham's welcome and explanation of the medina was invaluable and set us up to navigate easily to and from the Riad. Additional things we loved were the rooftop views and birdsong in the courtyard.

SpainAs in most riads, if you have the bad luck of having noise travellers during your stay, it would bother you rest.
The service. The staff is there to make everything they can to fulfill your needs and wishes. We arrived after a 10 hour trip so we requested (in advance) to have dinner at the riad. They set a table next to the fireplace (it was January) and we enjoyed a very relaxing dinner, like at home. We were living early to take our flight back home and they arranged an early breakfast for us. The service was devoted.

CanadaThe staff (Isham and Ibrahim) were incredible hosts. Not only were they super attentive during our planned stay, but they also saved our lives (literally). We were at the riad during the night of the Morocco earthquake (6.8 magnitude). Isham and Ibrahim took care of all of the terrified hotel guests, ushering us all to safety and waiting for everyone to find a taxi during the chaos. Even during this disastrous event, they kept calm. When my partner hurt his foot from falling boulders, Ibrahim helped to clean the wound, while Isham helped carry our bags and get us a taxi to the hospital amidst everything going on. We later learned that they put the hotel guests ahead of their own fears and finding their families who were also in the Marrakech medina. We cannot thank them enough for everything they did for us! We also fell in love with the turtle Couscous who roams the riad. We hope she is okay after the earthquake!
