Some members of our group found the beds way too hard. That didn’t bother me. The rooms are well appointed but some of the sinks are small. If you were looking for a super luxe experience this is not the place for that

Riad Tizwa is well located in that there is a short walk from the car drop to where the Riad is located. Communication in advance of the stay was exceptional. The breakfast was really good and by far the best thing about Tizwa is Merieme, who runs the place, though all of the staff are friendly and welcoming.

I wish I could give this place 20/10. The staff are exceptional: Merieme and her team are warm, welcoming and helpful. Especially Mohamed 1, whose kindness, generosity and mother’s harira I will always remember. The building and room are beautiful, spacious, clean and comfortable with attention to detail - I loved the traditional soaps and the explanation of their uses and the environmental ethos. Breakfast was delicious and generous with fresh juice, fruit salad, homemade yogurt and an array of other foods. Compared to similarly priced accommodations in Marrakesh and other cities, this was luxury without the price tag.

The staff was amazing, and the room was stunning. Amazing location and incredible amenities. This is the only place I recommend to friends and family visiting Fes. I wouldn't want them to stay anywhere else!

Our room - number 4 - was very spacious and private but it is up 50 steps ... you may want to check which room you have been allocated if steps would be a problem for you. This is not a luxury riad - but then the price reflects that. We thought laundry drying on the top terrace was good on environmental grounds but a bit off-putting if you wanted to sit out on the terrace between sight-seeing.

Staff are amazing - so helpful and keen to exceed expectations. They are very well trained and the manageress in particular had great recommendations for excursions and restaurants. Breakfasts are good and there is a great willingness to make you feel at home. Comfortable beds.

The noise echoes around the guesthouse when someone makes noise in the common space. It was quite loud until late when we were there.

Anything in particular

It was my first time here in Marocco and in a Riad, and I loved it! Our accommodation was spacious, it had its own private bathroom with shower and bathtub. It was located in the central courtyard. Just one step away from the breakfast room and the cozy living room. The room was super quiet. I loved the possibility to enjoy our breakfast on the roof top. There is a big terrace where you can find tables, chairs and sunbed. We have been there in early February and the Riad wasnt that crowded. A big plus was the hotel's staff, they have been super nice and they made us feeling home. I found the location of the Riad very good.

We had a wonderful time at Riad Tizwa. Merieme is a very considerate host, always available for recommendations and a chat. She organised a great tour guide for us, a visit to the hammam and a lovely day excursion to Volubilis and Meknès. The other staff are also very friendly and helpful. The Riad itself is very comfortable and beautiful, with lovely mosaics, plaster work and wooden details. It was our first introduction to Marocco, and it couldn't have been a better experience in Fes! Highly recommended and we will certainly return when visiting Fes in the future.

What’s there not to like ? Absolutely nothing .

The true Star of this Riad is its manager Merieme. She and her team truly look after you and all your needs . I didn’t believe that when I read similar comments in previous reviews as I do corporate events myself and it is hard to exceed my expectations but from the moment we arrived we could totally relax as Merieme had it all under control and our program was perfectly arranged .

The property was absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. Merieme was so helpful and communicative before and during my stay, and went above and beyond to organise a tour with an excellent and very informative guide, Abdul! My room was spacious yet cosy. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The wifi didn't fully reach the rooms, but other than that my stay was perfect.

The location was amazing. The instructions on how to get there were very clear and it was easily accessible. The bedroom was large and spacious with beautiful decoration, the chandelier was my favourite. The bathtub was glorious and I took a bath every night with the complimentaty black soap to and clay mask to cleanse my body and face. The breakfast was delicious and filling and having it on the terrace with the view of the medina was the cherry on top. The staff was great and so accommodating. I had a walking tour of the medina and they helped me arrange that. Furthermore the location was safe and within walking distance of a lot of restaurants. It was definitely a great experience.

The climb to the bathroom was challenging but good exercise.

We loved Riad Tizwa Fes so much we stayed an extra day. Meieme was the best hostess, giving excellent recommendations for what to do and not do, and her food recommendations were spot on! The whole staff was friendly and thoughtful. Highly recommend!

Staying in Riad Tiwza was the best decision ever made. Riad is extremly clean and well decorated. Stuff is amazing, they help you with everything and they are extremly nice. Breakfast was delicious. Merieme was so nice, she helped us book our ticket for train, she even got us a driver from airport and to train station without any problem. Would definitely recommed staying there. Location is perfect, is in the center and still reachable by car.

My stay here has been more than delightful. The Riad is gorgeously Moroccan and so beautiful!All the staff is friendly, willing to go out of their way to help. Special mention for Ayyub, Mohammed and Merieme, who are all just awesome. Merieme especially deserves a special mention for being such a sweetheart! She takes care of the place like her own home, and makes the guests feel special and welcome. Extra stars for cleanliness and the absolutely delicious breakfast ❤️

Meriem and her staff really made the stay very special. Her welcoming warmth made us feel at home. We were always welcomed with mint tea and a friendly smile. The room was large and comfortable. Meriem has wonderful knowledge of Fes and I wish we had let her book our tours and cooking classes as we had used other vendors and were disapointed.
