Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomAlthough the flow of traffic did not affect us at the actual apartment block, there is a quite heavy flow of lorries, cars etc below the restaurant on the main road. In fact, we would say, there are too many people in cars. This could be a concern for the environment. Take your mosquito repellant. Lighting could be brighter in the room especially in the kitchen area and a bit more indoor table space.
The view from our balcony of the sea and mountains was excellent. Watching the boats and occasional aeroplanes was interesting. Our room was on the 3rd floor so we could see part of the village also. Alexander picked us up from the airport as previously arranged and we found her to be reliable and friendly. Certainly it is cheaper to ask for airport pick up rather than using taxis. Bus stop outside the restaurant next to the apartments. Buses reasonably frequent to Tivat bus station and other small villages. Small supermarkets 30 minutes walk away in both directions. Our room had a fridge, tv, 2 ring hob, aircon and price was fair. Quiet area although traffic flow down from the apartments was regular. Restaurant served reasonably priced food.

IsraelBuy electric mosquito repellent at nearest Idea store. It is not expensive and will make you happy!
Very nice and atmospheric place. Exceptional views, very comfortable apartments. Nice walk along the sea road in both directions.

TurkeyEverything was great! We felt like at home. Alexandra and her daughter helped us a lot. There is a small beach right near the house. You can swim there and the water was very clean. It was a quiet town and wonderful! I will go to Porto Bjelila again next year and stay at this apartment. I felt very peaceful. If you want a quiet holiday, you should definitely choose it! Thank you very much for everything! Thank you for providing a wonderful holiday experience <3 I miss you !

GermanyAlthough we reserved about three months ahead, the apartment we were booked into was on the ground floor and did not correspond to the pictures (1st or 2nd floor) on our booking confirmation. The shower had no screen, so the bathroom got quite wet with every shower. The bathroom seemed not quite finished (insulated electric cables protruding from the walls). WiFi was initially good, but later developed many disturbances daily. Some portions in the restaurant were about half the size given on the menu, it was a bit of a Russian roulette. We enjoyed our stay there nevertheless very much.
The apartment was very clean and 2 min walk from a lovely beach, the restaurant makes great food and Alexandra, the owner, was really very welcoming and helpful. All staff were very friendly in general. Alexandra drove us to the supermarket and offered to drive us to the airport. We would come again when confirmed we would get the apartment we actually booked.

DenmarkI liked everything at Porto Bjelila. The kitchen was a bit old though.
Alexandra, who looks after the place, was so nice and helpful. Took us in her car to the supermarket, which is about 2 km away from Bjelila. Helped us every time we asked her. The room had a very nice view from the balcony. There was only 2- 3 minutes walk to go swimming. There's a nice restaurant beside the apartments. The busstop is very near to the apartments. Bjelila is a beautiful and quiet place.

New Zealandthe ATM outside is a Euronet , if you are from a foreign country I suggest you avoid these machines. They offer a ridiculously high conversion rate. Even if your card is already loaded with euros. Use ATM in Tivat..
if you are looking for a peaceful quiet place to relax this is it, the local restaurant has a wonderful selection of fresh fish dishes among others to choose from, a bus stops right outside the apartments 3 or 4 times a day to Tivat and return per day, the cost is 2.50 euro per person , so commuting to Tivat is not a problem , about 20 minutes. you can easily walk to a supermarket and selection of shops and cafes about 1 km away in the village of Krasici, this took me 15 minutes at a leisurely pace. the sea is super clean and warm ..highly recommend this Establishment you will not regret it. I will have no hesitation and booking at again. enjoy your stay :-)

RomaniaWhen we arrived to the place - we found cockroaches in the room! :( Staff helped us to find another room, but on next day I found another cockroaches in my bag on the balcony! After discussion with Staff we decided to leave this place, paying only for 1 night which host agreed but asked to pay extra commission for booking and cleaning, which normally we should not pay at all...

RussiaTIP: you WILL need a car if you plan to stay at these apartments. Otherwise do not bother Cons: -Old bed sheets with holes, uncomfortable pillows -No care-taking like changing towels/sheets, we had to go and ask ourselves the young daughter to get new towels for us - staff/owners are mostly unhelpful and speak poor English which made communication difficult. We were not registered as tourists because the office was closed and they never followed up. When I asked the manager over Whatsapp about whether we were registered I was ignored. - shower sometimes ran out of water and we had to wait, shower head hook was broken - lack of niceties such as tea/coffee in the room for guests, no salt/pepper, no dish soap, no shower soap/shampoo - nearest grocery store is a 25 minute walk away (again, you WILL need a car)
- beautiful view from the balcony - right next to a wonderful stone beach - good air conditioning - relatively clean - nice and quiet neighborhood

MontenegroWe always found parking but it was sometimes a bit tricky, especially in the afternoon.
The location is very close to Plavi Horizonti and Pecka Beach. It is close to Kotor and Tivat. There is a beach (ponta, no sand) right accross the street - beautiful and calm, but no umbrellas.
