Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Really everything was excellent
This is a surprisingly spacious and comfortable hostel right in the center of the Old Town. It is oozing with charm in an ancient stone building. The canteen room is the most gorgeous élégant comfortable space, and there's also a main kitchen on another floor, and a friendly lounge area at the reception. I was in a 4- bed dorm on the highest floor, with slanted ceilings, very spacious and beautiful, with our own bathroom with shower for the 4 of us. The staff were all extra kind and pleasant. A surprising gem of a hostel

Loved all the events/activities organised by the hostel, like the sunset BBQ and boat party. The high standard of cleanliness. Amazing staff, shoutout to Fatih, Martini and Nick! Genuine care for guests.

The best hostel in Kotor. Sunset BBQ, Boat Parties around the bay and free Pub Crawls with the one of the kind Staff made this hostel the highlight of my travels

The ideal hostel to visit Kotor, it is near the tourist sites and the staff was very kind and helpful during our stay. The rooms and bathroom were super clean! :)

Our room 6 (10 dorm beds) - the bathroom was leaking. Each time after a shower, the whole room was flooded with water. We have informed the reception but the problem was not fixed. I hope this problem will be fixed.
Excellent location, friendly staff. Clean room, clean bathroom. The manager Milan was very kind and helpful.

Everything was great, no issues.
The people at the property truly made the experience incredible for us. The staff, fellow travelers, and the town, everyone was welcoming and made sure our time in Kotor was amazing. Can't thank the staff enough!

Fatih and Ali were the best staff they were super nice and helpful on every matter and helped me out about Kotor aswell where to eat and what to do etc. . Everything was really clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay again thanks!

I arrived to Kotor very late in the night. It was raining and cold, but Milan was very nice and allowed me to check in early in the morning as I needed to warm up after sitting outside for 5 hours. Room and bathroom were great and clean. Heater worked very well. And I liked the location near the South Gate as there was less foot traffic and nice cafes and restaurants next door! Definitely recommend :) probably very nice in spring/summer as they arrange tours where you can hang out with the fellow travelers

Nothing to point out
The hostel is clean, centrally located in the old town and the staff super friendly. Milan made us feel at home, gave us lots of tips in terms of what do, how to get to places and where to eat.

Plug near the bed is not working. Heater is not effective in the room. Could add curtain on the windows.

I was welcomed by a man who was very kind and helpful even though I was in a grumpy mood after spending more than 8 hours in a bus coming from Tirana😅 (I apologize for that). He put me in a private room even though I booked a bed in a dormitory (Thank you for that). Everything was perfect. The room and the commun areas were clean, the bed was comfortable and the hostel is perfectly located in the magic old town of Kotor. Do not hesitate to go there!

Stayed during the off-season and stayed in a double room. Even though there wasn't always someone at the reception desk, the staff was very friendly and responsive, and it was easy to contact them via Whatsapp with whatever concerns or questions we had. It was a very pleasant stay!

Situated very conveniently at just a 5 minute walk from the Kotor Bus station, this hostel is really nice. Apart from the location being in the heart of Old Town, this place offers a really cool vibe with the reception being the best place for all to chill. Along with all the usual facilities as we have seen across hostels throughout UK and Europe, this hostel has a very nice host in Milan. He is very helpful and the reception desk has all the links and information required by foreign travellers.
