Very narrow spiral staircase from 1st to 2nd floor, which would have been very noisy had anyone else been staying in the building at the same time.

Friendly and helpful manager and staff who were able to find us an alternative, newly refurbished room, when emergency rewiring had to take place just before our arrival and recompensed us in cash for the inconvenience. The location is near restaurants, but quiet at night and it felt very safe walking about.

I had no complaints but hubby did find the bed uncomfortable so I guess it is a personal taste/preference.

Communication with Renalt was second to none. Really a top host. The apartment was clean, cosy and so close to the ferry, the square and lots of museums. As it was off-season, we met many locals, in various places and we were made feel so welcome. Will be back for sure. Easy access to public transport.

All good. A perfect spot for a quiet, sunny mid-winter break. The apartment was fairly bare but clean and pleasanly spacious. The decent gas cooker was a plus. Plenty of free parking spaces on the nearby waterfront. The roof with a beautiful view across across the harbour to Valletta and Senglea.

The toilet flush cistern takes too long to fill with water. When you live as a couple, it's not very convenient.

We really liked everything! The location is simply great, in the center of the old town. Wonderful hotel owners and staff. The room is clean.

The size of the room was about 30 square meters (a way smaller than what advertised). The owner was quite unfriendly. Body and soap were both missing (this is not very welcoming). No elevator and on the 3rd floor The gas cooker was not child secure

Shared rooftop and its view. We had a leak in the kitchen and the owner got it fixed within 1 day. The hairdryer was broken and the owner of the property gave us a replacement within 2 h.

No sound isolation - you can hear the neighbours, as well as the noise from the street. Also, I wish some basic toiletries, such as shower gel & shampoo, were provided.

Nice apartment at a good location - close to the bus stop, port & cafes. Our apartment was really good - spacious, with balcony & well-equipped kitchen, bathroom was also decent size. We had more than enough towels available. The check-in was also smooth.

I was quite comfortable but if l had to mention something which l did not like it would be the stairs.

The amount of stairs to the room but we knew about that in advance. The mattress was somewhat uncomfortable (you could feel the springs). Bathroom towels were a little worn & faded. No plug for the kitchen sink!

I could not use te kitchen utensils, because the plugs did not work. The pillows and the bed were uncomfortable. A microwaveoven would be useful. The owen is unreliable. The water did not have enough pressure.

Airconditionet works really well! Huge fridge. Nice autentic old house, the roofterace was really cool!

The building is quite old and get too noisy sometimes. There are no big grocery stores nearby so be prepared for that.

The location is quite convenient and calm. The apartment had a well-equipped kitchen and a barbecue zone that we did not use. If you want to go to the city center, you can take a taxi boat to Valleta. There are nice restaurants close by that serve amazing local food.

Location was superb - all three cities within walking distance and just a short ride to Valletta (10 minutes) and Gozo (45 minutes) on ferry / catamaran. Owner spent a good 10–15 minutes in his busy restaurant showing me bus routes, ferry routes, places to see etc. on city map which made the trip much easier to plan.

ZERO communication with host - I was not able to reach him via phone, booking or email. As a result I didn’t have WIFI and AC heating during my stay. There is a pub on a corner you can talk to but I didn't have time.

Great location in 3 cities. Gives you local vibe with adventurous ferry boat to Valletta. Views from roof top breathtaking! Studio was clean and well equipped. Washing machine and grill were a bonus.

No shower gel / soap in the bathroom. Not enough light (especially if you're a woman and want to put on makeup, haha). But great value for money!

Great location in the centre of Birgu. Communication with hosts was great. They even gave us complimentary drinks at their restaurant! Very good wifi and free unlimited water!!! They even allowed us to bring our cat with no extra charges!

Cleanliness (dirty towels). Not ideal kitchen for cooking. Smell of gas (so we turned it off and didn't really cook on the stove). For parking you need to get permit from city council. You can write an email to the Birgu city council and then go pick it up (it's quite nearby).

A joy from start to finish. Renalt ( the host ) provided a transfer to arrive at his cafe/bar and upon arrival we were sat down and given a free drink. Then after a small relax, he kindly showed us to our apartment ( 5 Minutes away ). Provided us with all information and his number if we have any problems ( not needed ). He kindly let us have the top floor and we were just a few steps away from the roof terrace, which breakfast was a joy to behold in the morning. The location is superb for all needs and a small walk to the fast ferry was always something of a pleasure. By far this exceeded my expectations and so much value for money. If I could praise more, I would. We will come to Malta again and we will be using this little gem...Thank you Renalt for a warm welcome and beautiful stay.

Number 20 is a charming old 3 storey building with an apartment on each floor. It's in a great location in beautiful Birgu (Vittoriosa). Walk to restaurants, grocery shop, bus stop, and water taxi in 2 minutes. Walk to Valletta ferry in 15 mins. Apartments are larger and much nicer than appear in photos. Apartment no. 3 on top floor has a small open balcony. The others have enclosed Maltese-style balconies. Kitchen is equipped for cooking simple meals. Multiple TV channels available in several languages. Roof terrace has furniture to relax while enjoying the amazing view, especially at sunset. Great value for money.

The cleaning could be a way better. We did not use a towel because it did not seem clean enough. Shower amenities would have be appreciated. In any case, I recommend the appartment for sure.

The apartment is better than in pictures. It quite wide and big, plenty of space to put things (cabinet, two tables). The kitchen was well equipped. Bathroom was nice, the shower cabin big enough. Confortable bed. There is a terrace with a fantastic sunset view over L'Isla and La Valeta.
