Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomInitially given wrong room (a small with 1 double, despite booking for 2 double beds for 3 of us). When we informed reception there was no apology and they were quite curt. We were given another room right next to the entertainment - which doesn’t finish until 22:30 and we had our 3yo with us so sleeping was difficult (asked to change again the following day and advised this was not possible) as it happened we ended up staying up for the entertainment as it was so amazing so wasn’t a problem after 2 nights. You need to book the restaurants the morning after the day of your arrival - despite doing this and being entitled to 2 restaurant meals - there was only 1 slot on out last night available in any of the restaurants - this was Italian and the food was awful - sweet pasta sauces (no need for sugar), mains came immediately after our starters arrived which was odd, lasagne was cold so asked to be reheated - by the time it was returned others had finished, and the bowls were scalding, daughter burned herself when it arrived, and then on tasting was 90% salt (hyperbole but I mean it was very salty and inedible). Would have preferred the buffet. We didn’t wait for our desserts. The kiddie disco is advertised on the daily internet activities and poolside board as being 20:40 - despite arriving at this time it was never on time: 1st 2 nights they were surprised to be told we were expecting it and then quickly gave the kids 10minutes before the main show (which meant playing a game and kicking out the youngest first - very unfair as this was what she was most excited about). A few songs for 30min on stage would be brilliant, instead they got one dance and one ‘knock out’ game. The kids club is from 4yrs so couldn’t go yet - but went by to see some of the activities and the room was locked? I wonder if too few turned up so it was cancelled?
Great pools and slide area. The entertainment in the evenings is outstanding! The gymnastics, dance acts, singers - all excellent. The children’s disco however… see below. The food was OK - some offerings better than others. But always something to eat. Great location with swimming pools / bars and beach! The drinks - cocktails mostly sugar syrup, but if you ask for preferred spirits / mixers etc it’s all available and included.

SwitzerlandThe room was quite small for a family of 4. Room smelled of mold, probably from the A/C, this was not a problem for us though because we did not use the A/C and just kept the windows open. The service at the Italian restaurant was rushed.
Relaxed atmosphere in the resort, food is good with nice variety, mostly very friendly and helpful staff

SwitzerlandThe only thing I could complain about were the quality of the drinks (complex cocktails weren't really good, all the rest was good) and that the music was a bit loud on the beach.
Great place to relax. Beautiful beach and pools and everything you need there. The room was really nice too with AC and fan as well. The personal was also super friendly and the Asian restaurant dinner was amazing!

United States of AmericaFood diversity and quality is below comparable 4star establishments. While the staff tried hard, the service levels did not meet expectations-is this a matter of training?
Nice beach, good options for suntanning. All inclusive is comprehensive.

United States of AmericaThis is an all inclusive resort, and while the reservations-only restaurants are very good, the food on the buffets is not great. Anything cooked fresh on a grill line is usually a better choice than the trays on the buffet. Plenty of salads and fruit to choose from as well. I felt it was a good value, if you're not a food snob.
This property is a nice small size and has a lovely beach and proximity to anything you want in Cozumel. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are very nice. I enjoyed the evening shows, and the hard-working entertainment staff. I particularly recommend the Teppanyaki restaurant.

United States of AmericaThe food! It was below my standards. Some of it I could not make out what it was. I know the staff worked hard to keep items out and cleaned up after several sloppy guest. I love Mexican food. But everything was covered in sauces of some type or gravy. Even the hamburger had the texture of Oscar Meyer Bologna. This was our 2nd time there. I would have preferred to eat at the restaurants there. We are not drinkers either. So the open bar was not an added bonus for us. We would like to return, but the whole idea of the food was the worst part. If we could delete that out of the whole stay I would rather go eat somewhere else.
We like the fact that there was a show to go see. "Arby" was very entertaining and professional and the showtime events were great. We like it , because we did not want to go to town as most of the places are geared towards drinking alcohal. We don't drink. The entire sport directors of events and sporting games was really fun. The gardeners were very skilled and courteous to guest. The grounds were really well maintained. ALL the STAFF was excellent and friendly as well as willing to help. Our housekeeper was the BEST. She was always patient. We made sure we tipped well with most of the staff we encountered.

PortugalThe only thing that is not perfect is the food, it hasn’t that many options, for diabetic and allergic people. Also it hasn’t food 24 hours, from 10:30 till 12:30 and from 17:00 till 18:00 it doesn’t have any food available.
Everything about the hotel was great! The pool at the right temperature, the beach is perfect (although it doesn’t haven sun umbrellas it has palm trees that cover almost 100% of the sun beds). The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. My brother got ill and everyone helped, the chef made us special food, the staff took it to our room and everyone was always asking about him. (For no extra charge). Also I lost a dress at the swimming pool, and after maybe 10 minutes talking with a receptionist I had my dress back.

SwitzerlandThe building unit we were in had some small noise issue with the AC system, apparently a pipe was rattling and not fully connected. The hotel immediately sent a technician who was helpful. The hotel has a kiosk for trips. We booked one and were relatively satisfied, even though the tour was not 100% what it was supposed to be (skipped a location). There are many tours operators in the island, so check online all alternatives
We had a great time at this resort, had lots of good food and entertainment. The facilities are great and rooms are new and comfortable. Loved the hammock on the patio. A special thank to Arbey and the entertainment team, who really try to please all guests and provide great options for kids and adults. The beach, despite few seaweed (nothing compared to what happens in the main cost), was stunning. We were positively surprised by the food. Exceeded expectations (Tacos night was amaaazing). Staff was also super nice and always smiling :)
