The toilet wouldn't work until you move the sensor each time you use it. There is no blanket, the bedsheet is super thin. No mirror anywhere and no shower curtains.

The staff was really nice. Renee at the front desk was very helpful and quick to response.

The smell of sewage was in the air, and the sink tap was so short very hard to get water, the shower head was on the top pouring down but they had no hairdryer in the room. No electricity for a while on the last night. The aircon was good, quiet, and clean room. Staff was nice enough... I did not use their internet so not sure whether it was good or bad.

The grounds of the property are out of date and not of the pictures advertised, the pool looks dirty however I had seen it been cleaned. The grass needed cutting and the white buildings have black dirt all over them. The shower head needs changing or the limescale cleaned off and there was a smell that usually came in the morning, I think this was more about the area. Only a handful of sun loungers were available.

Location was good. At first I thought I was too far away from everything but it is only a 30 minute walk into main Cancun strip and 3minutes in an Uber. It was peaceful and everyone around seemed to be locals with the exception of guests at the hotel who were very friendly. Room was a nice big size. Mini Supermarket close and a bar for food and drinks. Great price!

The buildings look very old and dirty from the outside, the pool area is not good at all. Our friend stayed at the same time in a twin room and it was not good at all. It is cheap and with a somewhat close location to the hotel zone.

Our king room was clean and modern, no complaints about that. Location is fine, we used the local bus a lot and it was a 10-15min walk from the hotel to the bus stop. 24h reception was a plus

It was nothing similar to the pictures. It’s a room in a building where people leaves, the 2 nights the neighbours were fighting and yelling at each other at 5AM. The room smells like humidity. The bathroom didn’t have a window, it had a hole to the next house. We could listen their music and conversation.

location was good but the sheet were not changed. the area on the bedsheet that was lightly stained by my period as a woman were turn on the other side rather that being changed, so it was disgusting. Also the floor was never clean properly, always having sand and dirt. i could not walk barefoot in my room, my feet got dirty.

the staff was really good and friendly, even though their english was not perfect, but they were very warm, friendly and helpfull. I also like the fact they were paying attention to client's need.

The hotel is not the same as the one advertised in the photographs. Room has old air conditioning, does not cool enough and makes noise. It accumulates a musty smell. It has no ventilation. badly damaged building It is far from the hotel zone

The main problem is that the rooms smell like backed up sewer. It could be an issue with plumbing. My bathroom was almost unusable because of the smell. This was after I moved from another room that had the same smell.

Staff was great! Got charged a little more then expected vs what was posted on bookit.com. Great location! Bed not comfortable. only had a sheet to cover with. My sweetie got the towel to work as a blanket.

Shower: The shower head was blocked and water dripping towards the wall. After we cleaned it ourselves lol it worked great! Common areas: They are not well maintained, so it's mostly a place to sleep. Although, they have some beautiful banana trees!

Price: It's amazing for the location, if you want to stay near the Zona Hotelera and clubs. Beach: It's far, you can't walk Bus: Walk 15 minutes to Pok-Ta-Pok bus stop. R1, R2 bus. You can see a beautiful lake on the way. Traffic: Add 20 minutes if you are coming to the hotel late evening, from the south part of the Zona Hotelera. Traffic slows down in the clubs area, so it gets really hot if you are stuck in a bus, as they don't have air-con. Breakfast: Loved the pancakes, waffles, cereal/granola variety, fresh-cut fruit. It's not included in the hotel price, it seems is a separate business. (Booking makes us think we paid for it, as we selected it but never added the price, so it's confusing at the end). Internet: It was great, the router was in the room. Location: Quiet, small corner shop next door. Room: Air-con was fine. Ceiling fan ok. Very large bed! Laundry Service: They have, just ask for it in reception, it's cheap. Staff: Kind, especially from the restaurant... super kind!!!

The WiFi, while better than in previous stays at Green 16, is very inconsistent. There are maybe 5 TV channels and some routinely glitchy. The water temperature in the shower was also better than in past stays at Green 16. I stayed there for 6 weeks on my most recent trip. For one of those weeks I did not have hot water and for at least 2 of those weeks I had fairly significant struggles with the WiFi. All in all I had a great time and I like Green 16 for what it is.

This was my third time staying at Green 16. I love the location and it is a very good value. I go to Mexico from time to time to photograph birds. This is nearby many very nice birding areas. It's close enough to the grocery store and other decent places to eat. This hotel is not extravagant in any way. However, I like it and will continue to return in the future.
