Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

WiFi was essentially worthless.... like 28kb speeds. I used my data and cellphone hotspot instead to use my laptop. Not a problem - this hotel is perfect for the traveler who needs a cozy, clean, secure and well-priced room while on the road. I would stay here again.
Private, secure parking in a garage for free. Also had another free walled-in parking area just outside on the property, but the doorman pointed me to the garage after he saw me look there. Thanks again!

I had an impression that the price was too high for the quality, but I didn't stay in many Mexican hotels of the same price category, so hard to tell. Wifi only worked in the middle of the night when I was awake with a jet lag, I struggled to get connection during more normal time of the day. No shampoo is worth mentioning, although it didn't affect me as I had my own with me.
Location was convenient when you arrive and depart by bus, including the bus from the airport (although the area between the hotel and the bus station is not the best area of the city). Also walkable to many attractions in the city.

The hotel doesn't want you to make payment on line because they triple the price that was advertised. They take advantage of events close by to hike up the prices. Didn't have enough towels and no room shampoo.

Facilities dated; first room had a non-func A/C got switched to different room where A/C worked but half of lights flickered; many hotels around MTY have quiet mini-split AC this place still has old rickety loud wall units noisy keeping me awake; has a breakfast area but no one uses it; I don't think I'll be coming back to this place

No complaints, Everything I could ask for was easily available within a few blocks.
I really liked this place. Very nice, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Great location! It was a 4 minute walk to Arco de la Independencia. I stumbled across that my first night and it is even more impressive in daylight. Cuauhtémoc Metro station is a few minutes North of the arch and is basically the heart of the Metro system. Central De Autobuses is also a 10 minute walk North. I was able to book a roundtrip ticket to Saltillo on the spot for $15 USD. There is a well stocked Oxxo 2 minutes away, and a 24/7 Oxxo and a 24/7 pharmacy 5 minutes East on Pino Suarez. Avenida Francisco I. Madero had the best selection of clothing I have ever seen. It is five minutes North. For instance, there were several haberdasheries just in one block with a huge selection. Hat shops are all over town, not just here. I found lots and lots of straight hem sport shirts a few blocks away(the Le-Gar front desk man directed me to La Argentina), which are difficult for me to find in this country. The prices for the hats and shirts were comparable to US prices, not deep discounts, but the quality and selection was unbeatable. Google Maps is very unreliable for finding bus stops or showing correct routes for the buses I was on, but I was able to figure it out and get to\from where I wanted to go and then back to my hotel. I could have asked the front desk or got a taxi.

There is nothing in my stay that merits being pointed out as a negative.
The location is great. The room was clean and comfortable. Good place to rest and sleep after traveling a long time.
