While I thought the food was ok, I felt it was a bit bland and boring. I realize trying to feed that many people is tough. I felt overall the place was a bit expensive at over $400 Canadian a night for a couple.

Good location, close to marina and airport. Wifi was strong throughout the property. Bedroom was comfortable, pool chairs were good. I thought the staff were quite responsive and hard working.

Melia split the reservation in two so on arrival we had reservation on different names and therefor they put our young kids at 10 minutes walk from our room, although we had requested ROOMS CLOSE TO EACH OTHER. This definately ruined part of our stay because we had to be going there all the time to see if our kids were ok.

The Beach was extremely dirty. Surprising that the beach was not cleaned / raked daily. No garbage cans around. There were not enough bathrooms around the pool area. Leads you to believe that no one is getting out of the pool for necessities.

The housekeeping seemed a bit inconsistent, it was unclear when to expect housekeeping. Understandable with such a large hotel to clean.

We loved our server Juan in the Queztal, he worked from 3-11pm. We had lunch and dinner with him each day and he ensured we had an excellent experience each meal! Roberto was also fantastic!

The staff lost my payment, I was lucky I saved my credit card voucher. The key cards expired before my scheduled check-out date In the bathroom the soap and the paper tissues were not enough. One of the staff members was taking my shoe box without asking, he gave it back when I asked for it.

I liked the food and the drinks. I liked the pool. My room was fair enough. I liked the friendliness of the staff.

Better customer orientation Faster service

Hotel is a little bit dated but well maintaned, staff sometimes is not very friendly but just one call to customer service solved out. In summer there is a lot of people so expect not to have fast service, if you give a good tip to the waiters then all goes better. Food is OK, do not expect 5 stars meals. Overall is a decent service and you get what you paid for, even a little bit better. Kids have a lot of fun and that is what matters the most. If you are looking for premium food and beverages and a super service then spend a little bit more money and go for other options, if your main goal is kids having fun while you have some rest with average food and beverages, then this place is for you.

The hotel is old and the rooms need remodeling. The beach furniture is terrible. The food is boring and repetitive, also in the speciality restaurants.

The check in took a little over 40min and alot of the activities and shows listed weren’t available. Dinner buffet also limited.

Big resort so doesn’t feel crowded, good pool area and has great views. Breakfast buffet was good.

The booking was a little bit confusing. Because we booked in u.s.a and when we arrived to Melia resort we were confused.

We like the food. And that there was spacious places to eat. We enjoy the pool and the beach.

The building needs some maintenance and my experience in general with the staff at front desk was bad. They don't acknowledge you, some times they even ignore you and they have an attitude, no everybody, but must of them, plus it looks they are not well trained. I have worked in customer service for over 16 years, and I actually worked in front desk at a hotel in Cancun, and we never gave this poor service.

The location, it was clean and the facilities.
