Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe breakfast quality; was not so clean (some cockroaches were visiting there too); too many stairs (adds extra challenge when you have toddlers); and the fact that from 11am to 12pm there is no place you can get food, the main buffet closes at 11am and the restaurants open at 12pm.
The shows that happen every night, easy to book the restaurants (online),

United States of AmericaEverything was fantastic. The food wasn’t the greatest, but doable. For the value, this hotel was worth it
Great location of the property. I loved that we had access to both Royal Solaris and Grand Solaris properties. The activities throughout the day were great. The lagoon was fun to use, golfing, the pools, jacuzzis. The beach was beautiful, although the wind and big waves prevented us from going in the water a few days. Overall, it’s well worth the value and I’m a good/safe location

United States of AmericaThe drinks and food were average to good. A lot of artificial sweetener in drinks that I didn't like, but most people seemed to enjoy. Appreciate how hard the staff and bartenders worked though!
Staff were friendly and very helpful! Everything was relatively clean and well kept. Loved the variety of activities, music, food options.

United States of AmericaThe booking for dinner reservations was disappointing. With children, we needed an earlier reservation you can only make one reservation at a time. We had to make reservations 2 days in advance to get the earlier time but that ment every other night we couldn't make a reservation. Very frustrating and unclear prior to arrival.
The dinner at the restaurants were wonderful. The breakfast and lunch left room for improvement. The kids pool was wonderful for our family with toddlers.

Fantastic location on the beach! Waves were big and thrilling to swim in. Food was great and the activities were entertaining. Staff was pleasant! Was nervous because at the time of vacationing it showed the place was sold out, yes it was busy but we had so much fun!

LatviaThe food at the buffet was not for a taste for european, but the fact that you can have a fresh omlet and possibilities to have a meal in other locations compensated that (except breakfast). The room minibar could have more beers in it. We didnt like, that kids rooms had some kind of working hours, not open all day, but maybe we just didnt check it too often, also the kids playground could be more upgraded. But none of the above was a dealbreaker.
Very good and clean beachfront. Nice view of the coast. Staff was very friendly, room had enough space, cleaning ladies coming every day and the room was really cleaned, which was nice. AC working good and cooling fast.

United States of AmericaThe food was decent but not amazing. Drinks were okay but hard to drink in the cups provided and no straws on the property. I would recommend bringing your own drink cup to keep the drinks cold.
Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Room was nice and the included minibar was a nice touch since it was stocked minimally but with what we needed- water, soda, beer.

CanadaReservation of dining is quite competitive, so it was hard to reserve proper time. Other than that it was good.
Overall, it was worth staying at Royal Solaris. It accommodates restaurants, pools, and activities. What made this hotel especially better was this hotel affiliate with the hotel just adjacent one. You could take advantage of two hotels.

The entertainment team was really good with lunch time pool games, group zumba etc,, mini club for kids was a safe area and fun for kids with water slides and afternoon movie shows,,shows in the evening were engaging

United States of AmericaThe resort has a decent amount of activities, but if you're staying longer than a week, you may start to have to venture out or risk getting bored. The alcoholic drinks offered by bar staff were almost always lacking in alcohol (I'm a light drinker, by the way). In order for your drinks to have more kick, I recommend you visibly tip before the bartender starts your drinks. I was informed by a staff member that this resort's ocean beach almost always experiences high tide, meaning swimming is not allowed in the ocean where there are red flags planted in the sand. The lifeguards permit entry into the ocean but not too far either because of the danger of the strong ocean waves.
The buffet food was good quality. The reservation-only restaurants were great quality! The activity staff at the pool kept the mood lively. The resort is very close to the cancun airport (10-15min). The hotel staff was very helpful when I had questions. The location was beautiful, rooms were always cleaned well, and the resort was well taken care of. Overall, it is a great price for the quality of food and services provided.

United States of AmericaOn the first day we had breakfast, some pastries were tasting old and there was no service at the pool. When the weekend came and the hotel started to be crowded, service was much better, also the breakfast. There are many wristband colours and it's confusing as the hotel app doesn't show us that some restaurants don't require reservations but for breakfast it's exclusive for some wristband colours. it was frustrating to walk there and finding out that we couldn't eat there because the colour we had was purple. Other than that, everything else was great. We had a great time there.
It's nice to be so close to the beach. Amenities are good and it's a kids friendly hotel, with a nice pool.
