Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaNot sure why we couldn’t get Hilton points just because we booked through booking.com. We still chose to stay at a Hilton property so we should be able to get Hilton reward points for our stay.
Food was very good, loved all the daily activities at the pool.

United States of AmericaThe constant policy of offering upgrades for an additional fee was a true negative. The "What' you have is nice, but for $$$ more you could have this", is very annoying and let's you think that what you have is not so good. Charging extra for all the poolside cabanas, you cannot be serious !
We nearly always stay at all inclusive properties and the food here was better than most. The variety and taste was spot on. Just as important, meal areas were generally free from fauna such as birds, other critters, or insects ,which upset the dining experience.

United States of AmericaThe property was beautiful and well maintained. The pools were nice and there was plenty of seating. The beach was a little small, so it was often crowded. This didn’t bother us, as we mostly hung out by the pool. There was a good amount of restaurant options and plenty to do activity-wise. The entertainment team was fantastic. We particularly enjoyed our activities with Roberto and Marilyn.

IrelandTo secure pool beds, it's essential to reserve them around 7 am; otherwise, relaxation by the pool may not be guaranteed.
The hotel lived up to its five-star expectations with incredible food offerings, extensive choices, pleasant staff, diverse entertainment, and spacious rooms.

United States of AmericaOnly two things a) the beach is public and a lot of non hotel guests linger and lay by the hotel beach area. b) the most upsetting is that you literally have to pay for shade - the cabanas are for upgrade and bottle service only, but at this level of service and hospitality they should offer umbrellas if a guest does not want to be in the sun all day. Unreal, and first time it happened to me.
The location a quiet vibes of the hotel were phenomenal. The entertainment was great and engaging at night.

United States of AmericaThe whole situation with finding a place by the pool was stressful. You are told a check in that there is no saving seats, but people have saved most if not all of them by about 8 am. The chairs in front of the cabanas belong to the cabanas, though they aren't marked. You see a lot of people try to take those chairs only to be approached by staff. IMO this is so that people are forced to just purchase a cabana for the day (>100 USD). I'm an early rises so I was happy to grab our seats before 8 am and drink an iced coffee and read a book. However, it felt like I couldn't sleep in which wasn't great. Because the chairs are hard to come by, I think a lot of people save them all day even if they are only there a few hours. Additionally, as a pro-tip when ordering drinks specify which bottom shelf liquor (upper shelfs are upsells) you want or they will use below the counter liquor. The drinks at the bar off the lobby are pretty good if you want something a little nicer. Again- can ask for which liquor you want.
Bed was super comfortable and aside from some dust coming out of the vents the room was clean. Overall the premises were clean and well maintained. Access to the beach was easy. Coffee shop was a nice touch. Staff super friendly and professional!

CanadaThe beach is very crowded because it is next to a public beach. There is a lot of seagulls and other birds on the resort pooping in the pool and surrounding areas and trying to eat leftover food. Was very disturbing particularly around lunch time.
The rooms are incredibly clean, spacious and comfortable. The food options were incredible and the facilities of the resort were really nice.

CanadaThe property is located right in the center of Playa Del Carmen. Once you check in you can visit almost anywhere on foot. The porperty in itself was quite big, its a sea side resort. The room was spacious and was very well maintained. They had tons of activities throughout the day. The food at all restaurants was of great quality and tasted amazing. Also the room service was exceptional. Definitely recommend and will stay here again in future.

United States of AmericaNo umbrellas or shade on beach unless you pay for a cabana. Awful margaritas. Some of the restaurants too cold and windy at night. Towel shortage. NYE special dinner expensive but very good. Need way to block wind. Lobster needed lime. Dessert not good.. NYE show couldn't be seen unless you paid for a table up front.
Beautiful property, well maintained, very nice staff. Good beach, good location. Large room. Some of the best food i have had at an all inclusive.
