Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Sweden- Breakfast service served in another place, but it was slow. So I skipped it - The noise from the club next to the building kept me awake most nights unfortunately. But it is not the hotel's fault, just saying if you are a light sleeper, avoid. Otherwise, it is a perfect.
- The staff were super helpful and amazing - Location super central - beds were comfortable (depends on the apartment since I changed once during my stay) - Okay equipped kitchen if you need to make small meals, but you need to purchase everything (spices, etc...)

IsraelWiFi is very very poor. Plus, there is a dance bar right next to the hotel so almost every night from 22:00 to 3:00 there is a massive bass sound.

United States of AmericaVery loud music from nightclub next door every night until 3 am. Bed very hard and uncomfortable. Check in was a pain, didn’t have the type of room I booked until after the first night, then they tried to put me in a different smaller room, I had to argue with them to put me into the kind of room I actually booked and show them the booking.com details multiple times. We got the right room eventually but it was a pain.

MexicoFirst of all, we couldn't find the reception of our hotel therefore a person at the next shop told us to go to another hotel located at turn to the left from here. Anyway I called and it was Beach Balance Hotel. Hotel should offer/inform the check-in process and detailed information including breakfast restaurant when sending confirmation to guests. Anyway, I already asked about the location of a sister hotel for continental breakfast before arrival. All towels were poor quality. NO complimentary bottled water * Noisy circumstance caused by Bars around hotel is not hotel's fault. The solution is to use earplugs, which I did.
Convenient location and WiFi worked as there is the modem close to power outlet under TV. Spacious room(but furnitures were old fashioned) with air conditioning. Sandra (reception at Beach Balance Hotel) when we did check-in was very helpful.

United States of AmericaI requested a lower floor when I booked due to health reasons, but ended up on the 3rd floor. For most hours the room was quiet, but from about 10pm to 4am the night club next door (right next to my room) made it impossible to sleep. It wasn't just loud, it was thumping load, so even ear plugs were useless.
The room was lovely. The location was wonderful. The shower had plenty pressure. The bed was comfy.

CanadaThe noise (loud music) from about 18h until 02h00 despite the curfew. The A/C, ceiling fans, fridge and microwave are noisy as well. No mosquito screen on windows, so need to keep them closed.
Everything basic is there for preparing meals, but everything is old.

United States of AmericaLike others have said, it is NOISY, all hours of the night. And the DJ's blasting the music, don't have a wide range of beats so it's the same songs on repeat, all day and night.
Great location. Only a block to the beach! Right in the mix of everything. Small kitchen to make home-cooked meals. Clean and simple.

CanadaIt supposed to be a shuttle from the airport, but it wasn't there. I took a taxi for 1200 pesos (almost a double price), it should be 700. I planned to stay for a month in this hotel, but decided to move to another small hotel after a week. It is the better price and the better location. There are many hotels around for any budget.
The hotel is 5 minutes walking distance from the ocean. It's on the 5th Avenue, in the centre of Playa Del Carmen. The music is super loud until 1 am every day and till 4 am on the weekend. I have to admit the hotel has very helpful and pleasant staff. (Special thank you to Cezar, who speaks English)

United States of AmericaI didnt like that the single bedroom apt did not have a balcony. Also, one of the sockets was hanging off of the wall. The apt did not have adequate socket coverings just in case kids were in the room.
The proximity of the hotel to the beach was perfect. Great restaurants was close as well.

United States of AmericaThey cleaned the room every day really well, but the only complaint is that they didn't change the sheets or give new towels so by the end of the week they were pretty dirty from beach residue. The wifi worked, but not fast enough to stream shows seamlessly. The excursion price given includes a fee for the hotel contacting and setting it up for you.
The location was phenomenal, right on 5th Avenue! It was very easy to go anywhere you wanted to go and close to the ferry to Cozumel. The roof patio was wonderful for low key nights, you could see the beach and the street for people watching. If you used the dishes, they cleaned them for you when they cleaned the room!

United States of AmericaWe were not able to sleep in this place until 3 am for the first two nights due to a very loud music coming from nightclubs located very next door. After two sleepless nights we had to move to another hotel located just 2 blocks away from this place to be able to sleep normally without all that noise that was coming from every corner of the room. The room matches the pictures on the site; but, it seems those pictures were made many-many years ago as everything in the room was heavily used and very old. The bed is not as big as it looks on the pictures and definitely not comfortable at all. The fridge in the kitchen was all corroded; the shower head in the bathroom is not working properly and we were not able to take a normal shower. The bedding and bathroom towels were so old that they don’t look white anymore, they are very greyish now. The lighting in the room was too weak, so you can’t really see yourself in the mirror.
Location only. Nice personnel.

United KingdomThe room smelled very bad, as a result of a very bad smell of damp and odour from the bathroom permeating through to the rest of the room. We asked a cleaner if they could do anything, and they attempted to clear the smell but without success. The room and other facilities were quite shabby and uncomfortable. The bed was small and uncomfortable, there was no bin in the apartment, no door to the bedroom and the sliding door to the balcony did not close properly. The biggest problem, however, was that our room was right next to a rooftop bar which played music until close to 3am. The music was so loud that the entire apartment was vibrating, and lights from the bar were shining through our curtains. I appreciate that the hotel is situated right on 5th Avenue, and so you expect there to be a high level of noise, however this was beyond the possibility to sleep. After 2am the music was turned up even louder and sleep was impossible. I would only recommend to stay here if you plan to stay out until 3am.
When I complained about the standard of the room, they did offer to move us to another room, which was appreciated, but I felt the best outcome was to leave and go to another hotel.
