They allowed my dog to stay with us, there was a lot of space for him to walk and it was nearby the beach so we could go there often.

Location was affected by sight of the next door area being reclaimed/developed, but it was not a major problem and the staff alerted us to this beforehand. It's also quite close to the airport - but again we weren't really bothered, there was no major noise (partly because there aren't that many flights in and out of the airport).

Fascinating relocated old Malay wooden villas - these are the main draw of the resort, great fun to stay in them. Nice food for dinner at the restaurant. Staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Nothing - it’s exactly what we wanted.

Beautiful resort with unique, spacious accommodation and a relaxed vibe. We felt instantly at home, found the service top class and enjoyed the food in the restaurant very much.

I was a bit disappointed with the breakfast. Just bread, jam & butter, fruit and one piece of cake. + coffee/tea, all do it yourself. Having such a nice restaurant I think it would be better to serve breakfast there. Or, if it is going to be in the room at least two sets of butter and jam would be appreciated. It is all sweet, it would have been nice to have a bit of cheese or eggs. Specially because of the price one pays for the night I think it is expected.

It is a beautiful place, I arrived just in time to watch the sunset and they offered me a welcome drink which was great and I enjoyed the wonderful views and the company of some sweet little cats. Afterwards I went to the room which was a typical wooden house, super spacious, tastefully decorated and clean. Has everything you need. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious. Located just a short ride from the airport. I highly recommend this place for your stay in Langkawi.

I had to leave after two nights

The villas are traditional Malay houses that are 100 years old and fastidiously relocated to Bon Ton. They are 100% NOT your ‘Normal’ hotel room. They are so much better! Super clean and comfy and plenty of space. Unfortunately they’ve started building a golf courses next door so the views aren’t as great, but it was all far enough away that it was peaceful. Stayed there on a Sunday and Monday night so got to enjoy the live band/singer on Sunday night (they do it every Sunday). SO GOOD! They had a great band in who play all over Malaysia while I had dinner with friends. Food was excellent. Cocktails even better. Service fantastic!

The drive into Bonton was a bit of a shock with Disney characters lining the drive the stuffed animal toys cheapened the main common area/restaurant & the construction site in full view from this area also wasn't what I was expecting so as we enjoyed our stay after the initial misgivings we settled into our villa & relaxed just not described correctly by bookings.com

This place is what living in a kampung house would feels like with a touch of modern facilities. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Cats wandering around the place as well, my kids thoroughly enjoy playing with them.

Close to airport (noise from planes). One can walk to Pantai Cenang but it is too far to do this every day. Grab etc. is recommended. Or just rent a car and explore the island on your own.

Great resort with all facilities and great staff. It is a nicely quiet place while in less than 10 minutes you are at the beach (or about 30 minutes walking distance). The pool is great, our children (1.5 and 4) loved to hangout at the pool all day. There is also a possibility to arrange a crib which was very convenient for us. We very much enjoyed our 1 week stay and would definitely recommend it to other families with young children.

It was really hot and humid and although there is an AC in the room it is not very effective due to the fact there there is no insulation (no glass windows) in the villa. As a result there is also no sound insulation and the mosque singing at 5am feels literally like your are in the mosque (it went on for about an hour).

The villas are amazingly decorated and you have a really true experience of the Malaysian traditional houses. The food at the restaurant is outstanding. The garden is beautiful and peaceful, a great location to unwind and relax.

There is a trade-off between authenticity/charm and comfort. However, if you expect a different kind of experience than a generic chain-resort, that's shouldn't matter at all.

We liked everything! The beautiful garden of the resort, the very charming authentic villas and most of all the very attentive and kind staff! Breakfast is delivered the night before in the fridge of the villa, but it's very diverse and we got high quality products (home made bread, home made pie, fresh fruit etc.). We liked this concept as it enabled us to have breakfast on the porch of our own villa (with great views) at our own pace. The resort also has a good restaurant which I highly recommend. Overall we had a great time at Bon Ton Resort!

It had the feeling that it was wakening up after being closed for the pandemic.

The chalets are rustic and beautiful inside. Breakfast was delivered to your room and placed in your fridge the evening before so you can have breakfast on your own veranda.
