Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing at all!
The three pools, the beautiful grounds, the magnificent architectural design, this lodge is a fantastic place to stay not far from Etosha. The food was delicious, with a choice of local game cooked on the grill. The choir during dinner was a highlight! The rooms are all separate buildings that are spacious, bright and comfortable. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

SingaporeRooms are very small - the door opens all the way to the bed, so it is difficult to even enter the room, no space to open suitcase (only in the bathroom area), no fridge in the room
Pleasant staff, good food (breakfast and dinner), good location to visit Etosha NP, pretty grounds, aircon in the rooms

AngolaFor one night, maybe the price is a bit expensive. No expresso coffee in breakfast. We had two single bed together.
We arrived there at 9pm, when the restaurant was almost closing, but they let the buffet open for us. It was a nice gesture. The place is amazing, the rooms are really big, super clean, nice decor and with all the needs. The staff is super friendly. Unfortunatelly, we were there just for one night and left early, so we didn't enjoy the most of the commodities. Alot of options for breakfast.

SwitzerlandPleasant, friendly staff and a good buffet. Well maintained and as our bangalow was quiet a distance from the reception and restaurant, you really had the feeling of being "out in the bush". Not many guests there during our stay. All in all a pleasant stay

FranceThey don't have any watering holes or animals at Toshari, but it didn't really matter since we visited Etosha every day.
Toshari is excellent value for money and very well priced compared to some of the other lodges close to Etosha. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay!

United KingdomRoom is a slight bit dated, with some fixtures like taps being a little loose.
Fantastic stay and location! Toshari blew us away as a hotel for our stay in Ethosha. The staff were extremely supportive in all our requests and always helped with a smile, they are a huge benefit to the lodge. The room was big and comfy with really nice facilities. The food was a stand-out for us, it was excellent with the staff cooking food (local meats etc as well) with care and just perfectly, you will never get bored of the options made available at this lodge! The location is fantastic, 20-30min from the Etosha gates on a lovely tar road and only 3:45 - 4:00 hours away from Windhoek on a smooth road. Oh, and the pool's are just perfect. Yes.... 3 pools!

PolandI wish the area near 2 pools (not the main one) was a bit renovated.
Close to the park gate and the territory of hotel was big enough to have short walks in the evening and also very well maintained. The food was really tasty and the choice was big, especially grill was a highlight of each dinner. Staff is nice and provides entertainment each evening.

United States of AmericaThe grounds are controlled rustic….maintained gardens around the lodge and a bit of relaxed gardening that makes you feel like you are in “the wild”! So pretty. Perfect rooms!
What a an amazing experience! 🦒🦏🐘🐆🦓Do yourself a favor and book at Toshari Lodge! We had a family of 6 and stayed in a family room and a regular room. You are only 15 min from the entrance. Do NOT go to the NWR resorts in the park; we saw them and you’ll be disappointed. This Lodge is perfect for the price. The rooms were perfectly sized, clean and super comfortable. Start your days with a fantastic buffet hot and cold breakfast with options for custom omelettes, pancakes, bacon, sausage, toast and more. The Etosha experience was great for us….we did self-driving into the park. Drive SLOW in the park and you will see so many animals! Come back to the lodge for a superb dip In one of their 3 pools….cool down and get a great drink. The dinner is fabulous and you, again, get so much food with a custom soup, salad bar, special meats, amazing side dishes and more. Everyone was satisfied! You’ll love the staff, the place is just so nicely done with a little bit of wild and a little bit of cleaned up gardens to make it feel comfortable and beautiful. Enjoy! We’d come back again in a heartbeat!

South AfricaThere unfortunately was an invasion of moths, but this seasonal hazard cannot be blamed on the facility. Insect repellent and sleeping nets made for a good sleep!
The location was comfortably close to the Etosha Reserve gate. Reception, in fact all staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about Etosha visits. Dining facilities and swimming pools were excellent, and we enjoyed both dinner and breakfast buffets.

FinlandLovely hotel quite near Etosha park. The nature is always near and you can see at least a lot of different birds. The room was big and it was cleaned every day. The hotel offers a buffet breakfast and dinner with a lots of different food options and there's also a bar from where to get drinks. We had couple different massages while we were here and they were excellent. They also offer game drives to Etosha. When we had couple issues the staff was very helpful and sorted out everything.
