눇The hotel is well-located in one of the safest and nicest neighborhoods of Managua. In close proximity there is an area with restaurants and bars. We were impressed by the owner's attentiveness. He contacted us ahead of time with helpful information. He gave directions to our taxi driver who was having tough time finding the place. He waited for us to make sure we arrive on time and arranged dinner out for us. Overall, the customer service was at its highest level. The hotel is modest but very clean and has AC, TV, mini bar. We would definitely go back when in Managua!

눉nothing - everything was perfect
눇What a fantastic ‘little gem’ in Managua. I stayed at La Pyramide for just 1 night prior to my flight back home to the UK. I had researched carefully about where to stay & the Trip advisor reviews convinced me that this would be a good bet. I confirm that everything that people have said is totally true. It is absolutely perfect. Manfred, the owner, is totally professional & has thought of just about everything that a traveller could need. He thoroughly deserves his Certificate of Excellence & the even higher award of ‘Traveller’s Choice’. I am in the ‘same business’ (vacation rentals of 2 cottages in the New Forest, UK) so I am always looking for new ideas of other successful businesses. I was met at the airport exactly as promised & swiftly transferred to the hotel ($20). In spite of my very early arrival of 10.30 am, my room was ready (I was prepared to just have to leave my luggage & go off sightseeing). I was given a welcome drink of cold juice as soon as I was in my room (this is such a helpful thing & so few places offer it – they are all ‘missing a trick’!). I was staying in one of the cheaper rooms but it was still very nice. It was spotlessly clean with plenty of space, a very comfy bed, good quality linens, en-suite bathroom with hot water, cable TV, fridge (stocked with mini bar items if wanted), air con, wifi in my room, desk/chair/shelving/wardrobe/rack for luggage. Basically, it had absolutely everything that I needed. One other thing that was helpful for me was the electrical extension lead which was at floor level. This was important because if anyone travels from Europe (especially the UK) then they have a converter plug + the plug on their electrical appliance. If this is a laptop plug then it is a ‘transformer’. The weight of these 2 plugs means that they just won’t stay in the wall plug sockets.
