The accommodations are spotless, quiet nights, comfortable beds and pillows. My room had air conditioning which was a pleasant surprise since the hotel is listed as no A/C. Staff was very friendly, breakfast was plenty and great quality. If you are in town for the museums and dont mind taking the metro or tram to reach other areas this is the perfect location. If this is your first time in Amsterdam and will be taking a lot of trips from Central Station then pick another option.

Pillows are hard as rock. The shower stall is very small. No toiletries except body wash and shampoo and shower cap are provided.

Nothing of note comes to mind. Rooms were small but that is expected in Amsterdam. Van Gogh museum was booked for the month so if you are going to stay in Amsterdam, book your visit ahead of time. I don’t know who is going to watch tv in Amsterdam but the choices were limited for non-Dutch speakers.

Staff was really helpful. We have seen four different people on reception and all of them were happy to be of help. Best thing about Hotels Aalders was location and the staff was a close second.

The pillows could be bigger. We have to be aware of the shower because the room may get wet (the bathroom will get wet). I1m not sure if there is a window that opens in the room, so during summer I guess it can be hot inside. Some people might find the room too small, but it was enough for me, specially when you consider that the hotel is in a very old building.

Staff was suuuper friendly! The hotel is very easy to find, located at walking distance from public transport system. Close to museums, but you can reach other parts of the city walking. The room was confortable. The smell of the hotel was great, whenever we walked in. The staff responded quickly when asked via booking and their tips really helped me during the stay.

Small beautiful and clean old school hotel in amazing location, staff were all so friendly and cooperative, room is very clean, breakfast was simple but just right I liked it, Vondel park and Van Gough museum were in walkable distance from hotel door, also for shopping you'll find all main fashion brands in one street next door.

Great location: beautiful street close to museums, lots of cafes and restaurants close by, close to the tram stop. Good room size, high ceilings. Nice decor, very clean. Comfy large bed. Helpful staff. Windows overlooking the garden, birds singing away -lovely.
