The access (no lift) / no help with the luggage / the bed was uncomfortable and single / our bedrooms were at the top floor (3rd) it was difficult to bring the suitcases up and down.

Only one towel; if you stay more than one night, the room is not completely cleaned every day. The stairs are "dutch style" and there is no lift, but I was aware of it.

The location is great, the room and bathing water are warm, breakfast is reasonable.

Steep stairs, so not suitable for all.

Excellent location near Leidesplein and the big museums. Trams right outside, so easy to geet around. Rooms and breakfast good for a one star hotel.

Our room smelled really bad. They even left us an extra air freshener! We’re not sure what caused the smell. The bathroom sink didn’t drain and the shower was temperamental (so cold to burning hot!), and flooded the whole bathroom (it was a wet room style).

The staff were really friendly and it’s one of the least expensive places to stay in Amsterdam. If you need a budget hotel, this is a good bet. Breakfast was really solid! Simple but good. The location is amazing. It is a non smoking hotel!

The toaster was removed due to too many fire alarms, which meant we could only eat bread not toast. 1 morning all the eggs had gone before I got there. But everything else is replenished.

The beds were very comfortable, and room size was great.

- the entrance of the hotel did make a great first impression, also the hallways/staircases are a bit run down - shared toilet is super narrow, sink could be cleaner

- location very close to leidseplein - perfect for exploring! - room was quite nice and big (also had a bathroom sink inside) - reception area was nice - breakfast simple but okay for a short sightseeing trip, also the breakfast room was bright and appealing

Too many steep stairs to climb, a bit expensive but fair for the location in the city.

Good location. Breakfast was included but we didn't eat. Room had all the expected facilities, nice balcony. Receptionist was friendly and showed hospitality. Acess to public transport and there was a market nearby.

The overall cleanliness could be improved. Also the bed linen was not changed regularly, there was nothing sad about this. The breakfast area is a bit too small if the hotel is fully booked.

The hotel's location is very central, very easy to get to the city center by foot if you are willing to walk. All the necessities are present for a basic stay. The room was very warm. And as a bonus there is a cat in the hotel!

One of the mornings the shared shower room wasn’t the best and a little bit dirty, but this is to be expected time to time when they’re shared. Didn’t bother me too much and wouldn’t put me off. Every other day the shared facilities were perfect and clean.

I spent 3 nights in hotel Abba and had a lovely time. The room was really spacious with everything clean and comfortable, - more than enough for a few days for one person. It even has its own balcony which was super cool !! Breakfast in the hotel was great plenty of choice and fresh ingredients. Location is excellent only 5 mins walk to Vondelpark and museum area or 5 mins the other direction to Leidseplein and start of city centre. I personally liked the fact it was just on the border of city centre as it was a bit more quiet and relaxed. Staff were always friendly. There’s also a massive supermarket literally next door which I found very handy. A great place for the price for a few days in Amsterdam.

The loo roll holder. When run out was given the loo roll to do it ourselves, but the loo roll didn’t fit in the loo roll holder.

The location was very good, not that far from the city centre.

the bathroom is a tiny very simple little wet room which was fine but the shower isn’t contained so water gets everywhere very quickly but we used an extra towel as a bath mat and for a 3 night stay it was fine as far as Amsterdam prices go!

great location close to the centre and vondelpark, excellent location for the price in comparison to almost everywhere else in Amsterdam! had everything we needed for a 3 night stay as we were out and about most of the day anyway but we managed to sleep well and were comfortable :) also the staff were lovely and replaced the curtains after we had mentioned that they didn’t quite fit the window and were worried about privacy! also replaced our towels almost every day which was great

The room was a bit dusty so i had to clean up myself.

The staff, especially the receptionist in the morning, were super friendly and helpful! He helped me with my big suitcase up the steep stairs and was really nice about it. The location was also great and really close to everything, and there were two tram stations right in front and beside the hotel.

Staff very polite and welcoming, gave me a map upon entering which was handy helping me get grips of the area, location is decent round the corner from bars clubs, coffeeshops etc, plenty of supermarkets nearby with one next door. Everything you need and would expect. Having a balcony was also great would definitely return in the future
