The stair case is too small and difficult to move luggage in and out of the room

If you want to experience Amsterdam like a local, this is the place for you. Nestled in an active neighborhood but quiet enough for ample rest, the Artist House is definitely a home away from home! This is the second time I stayed here & the first for the rest of my family. We appreciated having the subway station extremely closeby. I will pay better attention to the directions given by the owner & take the subway from the airport to there next time & save a bundle!

No toothpaste, spare adapter which we had to buy from the store nearby but no biggie. Also the stairs are narrow but that’s everywhere in Amsterdam so careful while walking up and down.

Most important that Arvin stayed up for us until 11pm till we reached the hotel. The location, cleanliness, room size was all excellent.

Immaculately clean very comfortable, close to everything. High quality bedding made it an extra comfortable stay. Owners left a card and sweets in the room for my partners Birthday which was a nice special touch would 100 visit again.

Breakfast was not included and this was known in advance. The owner provided us with coffee capsules and tea. The apartment is large and very clean. Cleaned daily. The owner was very friendly and helpful. I would love to live there!

Honestly almost nothing..

This is a great apartment in a wonderful location. The apartment is equipped with everything you need, there's a nice kitchen with utensils, microwave, little fridge, coffee maker and more. There's a separate bedroom with a very large bed, and next to it a tub. Arvin makes sure it's cleaned every day as well. The location is perfect, right next to the metro station and in walking distance from every Amsterdam attraction. We loved it very much and I think it's a great way to stay in the city for whoever is visiting.

We would have welcomed some written information on the locality, some of which we found out by exploration but would have valued knowing earlier.

The property location was excellent - central, walkable to station and main sites and it felt safe and quiet at night. The accommodation was spotless and had just what we needed for a 3 night stay.

Our stay at Artist house Amsterdam was perfect. The house is in an excellent position, in the center, and any attraction is easily accessible. The hosts, Arvin and Hans, are very helpful, kind and friendly. Nothing negative!! It was a beautiful trip also thanks to their welcome, we found the house warm upon our arrival! Great location, fantastically clean and comfortable. Arvin was a great host as well! Felt very spacious for the price and area. Easy to use safe, microwave, and television. Nice big window in the living room / kitchen with a view of the street.

Nothing at all..

This sweet little apartment is so well located - within the vicinity of Bars, Coffee shops, Restaurants, the shopping streets - so much happening nearby, it exceeded our expectations. Arvin is a fabulous host, warm, helpful and full of life. He made sure we had everything we needed, including giving us the number to call for the taxi. Every time we returned home at night, the apartment was made up just like the day we had checked in :) Would definitely stay here again if we get availability the next time we are in Amsterdam. Nothing. It was exactly what we hoped for and more.

Our deluxe apartment was clean (and re-cleaned daily), spacious, had excellent amenities, was located in an excellent spot (right in the central district) a short walk from the Nieuwmarkt metro stop and various points of interest). Our host was also very friendly, and let us store our bags before check/in time, which was very much appreciated.

Some buildings in Amsterdam are old with narrow doorways & steep stairs. My room was above a restaurant & so was up one flight of stairs. Surprisingly, I heard absolutely no noise at all coming from below! The upstairs neighbors however, could have walked much lighter when they arrived back quite late each night. I admit I am sensitive, but it was a challenge having the floor above with folks doing laps til odd hours. I will definitely stay here again but I will request the top floor for sure!

I loved the layout here! The lovely front room with dining table & kitchenette (small fridge & microwave), plates, utensils & such along with a couch & tv, then the bedroom with the super comfy bed! The shower was nice as well.

You need to be very quiet walking around, as there is a person who lives below who complains about the sound of footsteps.

Great host, he made us feel vert welcome, there is a cleaner that comes in each day to clean the room, location was great, space is great for two people
