Very well located, but still was peaceful. My room was a quirky attic space up quite a few stairs. It all had a charm. The staff were very friendly and they let you drop off your luggage before check-in at no cost, so you can explore the city unencumbered.

The fridge in our room wasn’t working however staff did offer to let us store anything in their main fridge (made chilling water etc difficult). Few cleanliness issues in the room and as the building is dated, there are clearly a few maintenance jobs that are required. This is our third time staying at this hotel, despite the few things mentioned we would stay again!

Things to improve: - Shower hose faulty - water was splashing out - Hooks missing - lack of places to hang clothes - Towels too "thin" for hotel standards - Needs a painting job overall - doesn't do justice to the charm of the hotel how run down it looks - Cups for coffee were OK but for tea were too small - TV remote NOT working (and the TV was the smallest I've seen in a hotel) - The bed was big but not super comfortable in the middle

The location is perfect, and the staff super nice (António - Portuguese like me, left a few balloons and a card in the bedroom as it was my birthday the day we checked in! Obrigada António!!!). Big beg, big bathtub which I used nicely and the hotel offers salts which was great, and the old charm of the hotel makes it quite romantic! Complimentary water, coffee, and tea in the bedroom. Mini fridge, too. Nice shampoo and shower gel brand and bath robes.

A very charming hotel. A breakfast done with care, very crispy croissants and everything fresh. Very nice bath toiletries. The room had some cosmetic issues but I couldnt be bothered. Over all a really nice stay.

Unfortunately within our room was also a closed off boiler space, ofcourse very much necessary to put somewhere, this did bring some noise with it, also we couldn't get the room to cool off, even with the windows open 24/7. After the first night, we did get more used to the noise, so it wasn't a terrible nuisance.

The hotel had a very charming atmosphere and is on a good location. Everything is within walking distance! My sister and I have walked everywhere to explore the city, which made it ideal that the hotel is in the heart of the city. The staff was very friendly and always greeted us with a smile, and always willing to help. We only did breakfast once due to budget, but it was definitely worth it. Perhaps it isn't as big of variety available as in bigger hotels, but that just made the breakfast even better, with delicious local products. Also in the room there comfy beds and plenty of room to move around. The shower had one of the best water pressure I have ever had in a shower, which was honestly amazing!

The hotel claims to have a private parking but they don't! We chose this hotel over other ones in the same location, based on that information but they turned out not having any.... It's not a temporary situation they just don't have... That is just really not honest, I couldn't look for alternatives on the spot without wasting another hour, it made me furious while I lost precious time and money dealing with the parking/purchase on my phone at the reception + then had to drive around 6min + then 12min walks, while sick and hungry. And while I was expecting a normal, immediate check-in and rest... It didn't turn out that way and for that reason we cannot give a positive feedback,

We had some trouble checking in as we could not get into the hotel as the door was locked. The room was not as clean a we hoped for - a lot of dust, marks on the walls and calcium deposits in the shower. We also requested a quiet room, but the room we got was right next to a main entrance to other rooms with a door slamming as other guests entered the hotel section.

Nice hotel with a very nice location, walking distance to shops, restaurants and the Maastricht Christmas market. The hotel also kept our bags until we could check in later in the day.

There was a horrible smell in the room (on arrival) but it dissipated once I opened the windows and aired it out (and it didn't return).

Location: Absolutely perfect - close to everything. Great shower and comfy bed. Helpful staff. It's a little TARDIS - !'ve stayed in much bigger rooms that were much less well equiped!!

I didn’t like some of the shabby furnishings in the room, like a chair with ripped upholstery and the leather bed head which had lots of scratches in it.

The location was amazing. Right in the centre of the old city. Easy walk to many of the city’s attractions. Lots of cafes and eateries close by and a supermarket around the corner. I loved the old world feel of the building and surrounds.

- It is an old building. You have to make some compromises: the sound insulation is poor, both for internal and external noises - One of the windows had a damaged blocker, and because it was a windy night, the the window cracked open at the middle of the night. The blocker was not working, so we had to "barricade" the window, to keep it shut.
