I felt it was a little more on the expensive side but I did book it last minute.

I met my expectations, I wasnt expecting The Ritz when I booked it. It was clean, great location and the breakfast was really nice. The staff were really helpful and I had a good nights sleep.

The hotel was very outdated and needed renovations. Also there is no lift from ground floor to reception. It’s very difficult to carry your luggage

The whole hotel will benefit from a fresh layer of paint. New air con installed , but the temperature is controlled and you can't choose your comfortable degrees .

Position of hotel was wonderful. It is very close all the attractions which we prefer visit. The Breakfast was quite good. We really enjoy the breakfast area and foods which served.

It was so old, small, no elevator from ground floor to first floor. I ordered a crib to my child and they had confirmed it but it wasn’t ready when i arrived there at 16:00!! And they give me a crib and I installed and i did every thing 😡😡

The room could do with a makeover to freshen up the environment.

I was staying in a single room and it was tiny with the very basic amenity items. The red light district is only a few steps away from the hotel which is great. The Amsterdam Centraal train station is less than 10 minutes walk from the hotel, handy if you catch the train from airport and vice versa. Breakfast was simple but it is a good start for the day. The staff are very friendly. I arrived at the hotel very early and they let me check in early. Highly appreciated

One small but important detail was lacking: Hangers/pegs for the towels in the bathroom. There were three of us sharing the room and we had nowhere to hang our towels. Also, the bathroom; while it was nicely renovated, the shower design was a bit unfortunate; the glass only closed half way, so when having a shower , a lot of water spilled over the small threshold onto the main floor of the bathroom. This would have been OK if there had been a floor scraper and a second drain, outside the shower. But since there wasn't, the only option was to use one of the hand towels each time anyone had a shower to dry up the water on the floor. Also we had to hold the shower head so that less water would spill over. This could be fixed by adding a closing door to the shower , or take the threshold and add a floor scraper. There was no hair dryer in the room, but with a quick call to reception, the receptionist brought one up which we could keep in the room for our entire stay. So no problem really, but just good to be aware that hair dryers are not in the room when you arrive.

Good value for money. Great location for a short stay, close to all tourist activities. All staff members were extremely friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable and room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was nice. The pizza in restaurant below was surprisingly good.

Hotel Doria is centrally located in Amsterdam with walking distance to most of of the attractions . A lot of nice restaurants are nearby. Breakfast was good enough to start the day.

It felt like I had no window, I never book rooms with no window, the single room I booked said it had a view, the window was about 3 inches wide, behind the tv and looking at an alleyway so couldn’t see sky, couldn’t even tell if it was raining outside. This room should really be counted as not having a window.

Superb location, close to everything. Had English channels in room too which was a nice bonus.
