The pillows are not good. The toilet seat is too tall.

No lock on the toilet door and no door to the shower. The stairs were very steep and the lift took a bit of getting used too

The poor reviews gave a bad impression, we were relieved with the room, which was in good, clean condition.

Friendly & approachable staff at reception, very clean & presentable. The room had a very high ceiling and was well laid out, good storage spaces and lighting options.

We were in a room next to the road so occasionally when people were loud you could hear them. This meant sleep was a little broken at times.

The property was beautiful, loved the open concept of the rooms.

Issue with our first room, the mattress was stained and you could see it through the sheets, when brought to staffs attention they apologised took photos and changed our room

Staff super friendly, apologetic when we had issue with our room which they sorted promptly!! New room was small but super comfy bed was very comfortable, room was clean couldn’t have asked for better!

the room was cold as the curtains covered the radiator also the duvet was too thin for time of year. There was also some silverfish (small insects that like dampness) in the toilet area on the wall!

When the upstairs room flushed the toilet could hear it very clearly. Also shower is open make sure your comfortable with who you are staying with.

Great location. At my first night I got room at 4th Floor, room very small and heater does not working. Next day the staff change to new room on 3rd floor, the room was bigger. Everything was great, I happy to stay here.

Open style bathroom means it’s not so great if you’re sharing a room.

Lovely old building converted to modern boutique hotel rooms. Lovely staff, very helpful and accommodating. Great location, easy to get the tram into the centre.

Just the chewing gum outside our door stuck into the carpet and cigarette ends all out side the property they need a metal bin or something

The room was very nice with lots of light, clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable. The location is excellent and the staff was very friendly. I also liked that I could park my car safely during our stay (you dont want to drive around Amsterdam by car, public transport is right inf ront of the hotel).

The carpet on the stairs well was very stained in places and needed attention. The rooms looked as if they had been refurbished and the rest still needed work doing.

We paid extra for a Superior room, after changing rooms, we got the room expected. Think it was a genuine mistake by the member of staff at check in. The room was comfortable with everything needed for a few days stay. Our friends,we were travelling with, had a few issues with the electric sockets and the safe not working, but we had no problems.

Room was extremely warm, even with window open or AC on! No door on shower so water was splashed everywhere.

Brilliant location, close enough to walk to the centre of the city but far enough away to see the less tourist parts of the city! Room was lovely, big and bright.

I found the bed quite uncomfortable as the mattress was thin and I need something more supportive as I have a scoliosis but for two nights it was ok. There was a slight damp smell in the roon when we arrived which must be due to the shower surrounded by exposed brick and lack of ventilation. I couldn't open the window.

The staff were lovey and very helpful, I had forgotten to bring adapter plugs to charge my phone, they happily let me borrow some. We were also upgraded on arrival which was a lovely surprise.

Request to be on a higher floor - we were in room 1.6 in the annex (ground floor, next to the street) and were woken up during the night regularly with the door slamming and other guests not being courteous at night. There is very little soundproofing. The lack of door on the shower and the massive gap in the toilet door means you should only share this room with someone you are very comfortable with! There is a lack of storage for if you were planning to be there longer than a few days. Room would benefit from a fridge!

Really great location, very close to public transport, supermarkets and lots of reasonably priced restaurants. Beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. Staff are pleasant and accommodating - they were great at letting us use the luggage room before and after we checked out. The checking in process was very quick and easy.

Stairs steep but that is part of the fabric of the building. We were originally in the adjacent building with no lift, my friend isn’t disabled but found them challenging

Location good, easy transport links, staff were brilliant, really friendly and helpful. Beds comfortable, good hairdryer, tea and coffee. Stairs steep but the lift was good in the main building
