If you stay in the lower units, walls are paper thin. So if people are talking at the reception or in the waiting area, you will hear everything. Was not that much of a problem at night, bit you want to take nap during a day, that would be a problem. Be wary of really steep stairs if you get a unit on 2nd floor or above. They were hard to scale as an adult, let alone as a kid or elder person. Some rooms have very bizarre outlet placement system. To give you an example, there were no outlets by the bed and only one by the kitchenette in one of the rooms

I liked the location as it was close to everything. I thought the workers at the reception were nice, welcoming and spoke good English. Facilities were clean

The breakfast facilities are a little cramped and there is no bar.

Our room on the canal was ideal, a little small perhaps but just what we needed. The other canal room under the roof was great as well. I can say nothing for the rooms without a canal view or the rooms on the ground floor.

Loved the coziness of the hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful. Its location is superb, so close to many awesome shops, cafes and restaurants.

Our room was positioned off of the lobby and the staff and guests were very loud very late into the evening (past midnight all nights). We asked after the first night if they were able to keep quiet after 11pm but no change the following evenings.

Be aware of limited wheelchair accessibility! Comfort of pillows could be improved. When it comes to the breakfast there is room for improval. Standard selection of bread an cuttings, and Joghurt with muesli. Nothing special. A Cafe in town may offer a better experience at a lower price.

Location: Great location in the heart of the city directly by one of the canals. The hotel is situated in one of the more quiet streets. The location allows to easily access the city Center and restaurants within a few minutes of walking. Hotel facilities: Well equipped hotel with a little lounge in the entrance area. Due to its size the Lounge is more of a waiting area than a space to hang out. Atmosphere: Calm and friendly atmosphere. Rooms: Clean rooms and modern, more spacious than you would expect based on the size of the house. Comfortable bed. Service: Very nice and helpful staff. Value for money: Considered the prices in Amsterdam definitely a good deal.

The hall and room carpets looked like they needed to be cleaned. Smaller pillows would be appreciated.

The location was incredible and my view of The sunset over the canal was ideal. The elevator was an uncommon bonus and greatly appreciated for moving my luggage to the fourth floor. The neighbourhood was quiet enough ghat I could sleep comfortably with the windows open. And, the room was well lit.

The bedsheets were unfortunately not clean when i arrived. There were fibers and hairs on the pillows, on the sheet and the duvet as well. Probably came from the decorative pillows. I immediately got new sheets and everything, so the problem was solved. Besides that the bed was not very comfortable for me. The mattress was worn out.

The personal is very welcoming and super friendly. The hotel has a very warm and cozy atmosphere. The location is perfect. Central but very quiet. Breakfast is also good.

The room is not very big, but by Amsterdam standards it is still spacious. But there is only a very small closet, so little storage space for clothes etc. We had a room with "canal view" which was really nice, the view of the canal was wonderful. There are also less attractive rooms, which you have to take a close look at before booking. The location is great, in a few minutes walk you are in the old town center and you are still far enough away from the loud party hustle and bustle - The location is also a great starting point for walks and bike rides in the canals and to the museums. We didn't have breakfast but found it to be very manageable.

The bed a bit hard. The stairs are a bit tricky and a bit dangerous throughout, but we managed. Avoid the rooms on the top floor.

The location was exceptional as was the staff. My bathroom had a huge tub and my room quite spacious.

The tea pot is highly sensitive to any detectable water spill and turns off power to room. This happened to us 3 times in 4 days.

Location is convenient to set off on foot everyday. The canal view was lovely.

There was one towel with a hole in it and the bathroom sometimes had an eggy smell but otherwise very clean and comfy.

Room was tiny. There was no space either side of room to even put down a glass of water. No plugs by bed so had to charge phone away from bed. There was only one plug to use.

Location was amazing. Room very clean. Nice size bathroom with bath. Staff were friendly and we could buy alcohol at most times of the day and night. Very quiet as well.

We were in a group, so definitely the variation of the rooms was pretty astonishing throughout the property, but that reflects the quirkiness. We went in December and the rooms were all extremely cold. The heating system in our room did not work - we did call and they were responsive and tried to reset it, but I had to sleep in sweater and a hat. We were in a lower floor room towards the back. Our tall son was in a single room, and literally had to stand at the end of the bed and jump in in order to climb into the bed. There was no way to get out on either side as it fit into an alcove. All that said. I still would recommend it to people and would stay there again myself.

The location of this property is amazing and the staff was very easy to interact with. Really quirky rooms and definitely gives you 100% authentic Amsterdam vibes. Easy to walk to from the train station and also easy to walk to a lot of the sites from the hotel directly on a canal overall really great location to be at.
