The location was wonderful. Even though it was 9 km away from Balestrand, it was easily accessible by bus. The meals were excellent, the rooms were very clean and the owners were very helpful.

This was not a problem for us, but you need to be able to climb stairs for the double comfort rooms we stayed in.

The small hotel overlooking the fjord and mountain is very peaceful. My husband & I had a double comfort room in the adjacent building. Highly recommend one of those rooms. Comfortable adjustable beds, generous sitting area and plenty of windows for fresh air and breathtaking views. Food was good, fresh and included some local fruits. We chose to eat dinner there two nights. Good service, delicious flavors and again very comfortable dining room with views of the fjord. We had a car so we could easily drive the 9km to Balestrand. Dragsvik Fjordhotel is a wonderful, quiet retreat in a beautiful area of the Sogneford. Traveling via the car ferry from Vangsness was easy.

Some minor issues, which don't amount to any significant problems... Beds comfort is not the best I've had. Instead of that adjustment mechanisms, they should invest in better mattresses... Some of the room facilities are not in the best possible shape (eg. bathroom ventilation, shower head, small bathroom closets). This is not a big issue, though. The breakfast coffee is very weak, too weak...

Great location, with views on the fjord on both sides and beautiful surroundings. Makes for a great stay. Cleanliness done well in rooms. Nice breakfast. The restaurant has nice atmosphere & views, and some great food. I highly recommend a dinner there. Staff is kind and polite, we had some unexpected situation and they were very helpful.

I liked everything here

It was right on the fjord and the room was very nice. The beds were comfortable and the windows had curtains to keep it dark but they opened easily and the windows also opened. It was very quiet at night. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was very good with fresh eggs and breads and many other nice foods. There was a restaurant on site w delicious dinners. There was a quick bus to balestrand and nearby good hiking. Excellent hiking.

Walls are a little thin, I think. Would have appreciated more paper/linens like washcloths and tissues. The kitchenette had utensils, plates, etc., but no hotpads to take anything out of oven, or kitchen towel, sponge for cleaning up. It's about a 10 minute drive to Balestrand.

Wow, what a view! Our room had an incredible view of the fjord (and of a glacier!). Loved having access to a small kitchenette. And the adjustable beds were a real treat! Great shower. Hikes from the hotel. But the highlight of the hotel really is the food. Our dinner there one evening was outstanding! Exceptional fish entree and cold cheese/meat platter. Breakfast was lovely, as well.

The hotel is located in a most beautiful natural area. Beautiful hiking trails. The staff was nice and helpful and the breakfast was very good. The room was spacious, but not as quiet since it was located above the front entrance, where we could hear all the cars and people entering the hotel.

The bathroom was very small and can use an upgrade. Still quite a bit of hair of previous guests in the shower.

Fantastic view from the room and breakfast area. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff. Comfy bed. Free parking right in front of the hotel. We also had diner in the hotel restaurant and food was great.

Beautiful gardens surrounding the property. Walking in I didn’t think this would be so nice because the carpet bright red. But when we open the door to our room it was stunning. One wall was all windows with a beautiful view. The food was excellent. We ate dinner both nights of our stay. Very accommodating to my gluten free requests. Breakfast was also amazing.  They offered eggs Coke to order along with the Buffet.  There was a little bar that you can order drinks, and sit outside and look at the view. This was the perfect place for our stay.

Perfect location on if you are. A room had a beautiful view. Was quiet and serene.
