Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Was not able to boil water in my room.
Perfect location, really maximum 4 min walk from Oslo S and 1 min walk from Oslo Arena. Room was very clean and comfortable.

The shower temperature fluctuated between hot and cool which was tricky so that should be looked at. The safe didn't work.

Nothing. Very friendly receptionist who gave us some great info on where to go.

Earlier breakfast not available.
Location was fine. We had to leave too early for breakfast as it was a Saturday and breakfast is not served until 8 am. We were not aware of this and were disappointed and hungry!

The shower doors allowed the floors to get wet at times.
The breakfast was excellent and the breakfast staff were very hospitable. The front desk staff were also friendly and accommodating.

Common areas could use a face-lift, color scheme in the hallways was pretty garish, area surrounding the hotel wasn't super clean and didn't necessarily feel safe, especially at night, Very basic facilities.
Nicely decorated and clean room, very good breakfast, very nice and helpful reception staff. Central location and can store luggage after check-out.

Very small bathroom. Door did not lock automatically.
Breakfast - superb quality and range of items. Fridge and safe in room. Location, near central station. Free coffee and nice lounge.

Really expensive for what it is, but so is everything in Norway.
Great location, excellent breakfast (except for coffee, which is terrible, it seems, in most Norwegian hotels), friendly staff, nicely furnished rooms with a big TV.

The hotel feels a bit old and in need of a renovation.
Very close to the train station and not far from the opera house and the main street. Breakfast was very good as well.

The beds could have been more comfortable especially the sofa converted to a bed.
The location is perfect. Walkable distance to a bunch of attractions and makes a short stay in Oslo easy. The staff was very accommodating and gave us early check in which we are so thankful for after an overnight flight journey with 2 kids. The breakfast buffet was good.

The room itself was ok, not great and it was really loud. The first night I was facing the alley which shared an alley with a nightclub. Loud music and bottles until well after 0300. I changed rooms to a street side room and it was quieter but still loud (it was a weekend). It was also a bit loud when people were walking through the hallway, thing walls I guess. I was offered ear plugs by the front desk staff if it was too loud. (Did I mention how nice they were)?
It was a great location and the staff were all fantastic. They were all incredibly nice and helpful with all my dumb questions. The breakfast want too bad either.

it just looks a little tired. could do with a decorate inside and outside and lacks a nice main lobby / bar.
the location is excellent. literally 4/5 mins walk from the main rail station, right next to the main City mall, and 10 mins from the harbour and Opera House. Doesn’t look great from the outside, and has no bar / communal area. Family room was really big.
